I feel that the new Stadium SLO should be able to match that just add a bit of “hype” and you should be able to play it anywhereYeah I do like the NDSP SLO, more than the Fractal Solo models tbh.
Yes. A capture captures the amp’s settings. If you’re shit at tweaking your amp, your capture is shit, same as any other amp. If you can’t get a Mesa to sound good, you’re an idiot who doesn’t deserve a MesaDoes Mesa even work well with captures given their stubborn tweakiness?
Wasn't lying when i said it's one of the best SLO 100 models out there. NDSP's plugin comes close too.

Well, I guess I could have said that better. But my point was that you become so dependent on the capturer it might be a total crap shoot.Yes. A capture captures the amp’s settings. The big problem is once you finally nail that tone in your head, you have to post it up online to make sure everyone agrees with you. Only then are you allowed to play guitar, but by then it's time for sup and it's taco night. You know damn well after 17-18 of those tasty treats the only thing you'll have energy for is searching reverb listings on the couchI have NO idea why people have such a hard time tweaking their amp sounds. That's the fun part!
All I do is plug in, turn a few knobs and it sounds great. That said, I'll admit that it can be a chore with IRs and FRFR etc.
Most times, I'm just going into a nice guitar cab with IR and cab modeling disabled and it's SO easy to get a great sound in minutes...even seconds.
IMO the Mesa Mark series is probably the worst amp to use with captures. There's so many places to explore on any Mesa Mark beyond the archetype Graphic EQ V-curve metal tone. It's the "find your favorite nuances" amp range. Which can be a pain in the ass if all you want is to quickly get going.Does Mesa even work well with captures given their stubborn tweakiness?
I’ve found the SLO models to be kinda all over the map. The HQ Soldano on my Hotone is nice but it has Clean, Crunch and Lead choices. The Soldano in my NUX Amp Academy is not something I really like. It’s not due to it being a completely inferior modeler IMO because I dig the Uber and Friedman on it. It makes me wonder if I’d even like the real thing. I do respect what has been accomplished on it on a few recordings though.I didn’t like it (Neural). I think the Helix is better. Maybe I should try it again.

Other Mesa amps...maybe a more mixed bag.
That is true, but for 3rd party captures it's a wild west out there. The more complex the amp, the less fun it gets IMO.I get your point and to a certain degree I agree.
But on the other hand: If you make your own captures, you can make one for every one of those magical places you discover and then have all of them instantly available - and without bringing your amp.
Why bother? There’s no benefits of working hard to try to like NDSP. Especially if you are already happy with Helix.I didn’t like it (Neural). I think the Helix is better. Maybe I should try it again.
That and NollyI enjoy the SLO NDSP plugin. Was actually playing it last night and probably my most used NDSP plugin.
