Line 6 Helix Stadium

Sorry, I crossed some lines here. All I meant was that, when you download presets from the cloud, the QC automatically manages downloading and sorting any required captures (and I would presume IRs as well, though I have no specific experience with that.)

Ah, gotcha.

What I was thinking was that if you d'n'd a patch from HX Edit to HX Native (or save it externally), all required files to make the patch work on the target device/plugin should be included (at least if you choose so).

I’m guessing it was a very cold windy winter Chicago night around Xmas that some desperate soul came up with this idea.
I'm guessing it was a couple of months after Xmas, and somebody was looking for a way to get rid of some old candy canes.

Funny how desperation makes people do strange things. My great grandmother came up with a “chili” recipe during the great depression that was literally made of what was left in cupboards and ice box. It included things like spaghetti, ketchup, beans, and other unusual things. I guess the beans are where the chili name came from. My grandparents and father loved it 🤮 Having spent most of my adult life living in AZ and NM I’m pretty sure I would be taken out and shot if I ever suggested putting ketchup and spaghetti in chili to a local. Wouldn’t blame them.

Updated list based on feedback from @Digital Igloo

Stadium will have at launch:
  1. Agoura amp models (around 16 models with about 42 channels)
  2. Focus view
  3. Hype control
  4. Showcase features
  5. Preset audition
  6. More headroom than regular Helix
  7. Stadium includes most things from the 1st generation Helix like effects, amps, and preset compatibility. However the following things have been removed. Older Hybrid cab engine, Dedicated VDI and L6 LINK jacks (Expand D10 is coming next year), CV Out jack (No one used it)
  8. Excellent touch screen
  9. Usability improvements including search, etc.
  10. More processing power
  11. Improved signal chain options
  12. Basic librarian software
Stadium won’t have at launch:
  1. Proxy (captures)
  2. New effects
  3. New synth sounds
  4. New and improved looper (only minor changes at launch)
  5. Pedal Edit Mode (They're talking about something different)
  6. Preset Spillover (They're talking about something different),
  7. Helix Stadium editing software
Eh... Let's treat the first list less like "confirmed by Digital Igloo" and more like "fingers crossed, clenched teeth, something might need to go if we want to come anywhere close to the fabricated shipping date some dealers have been sharing."

Basically: Do you want everything on the list by the tail end of Fall (hopefully) or a slightly truncated list earlier, given that the missing items would be made available in a firmware update by the tail end of Fall (again, hopefully)?

I'd be in even just for the new hardware.

Pretty sure most people - myself included - are going to pick the option that gets them the hardware the soonest. I know it's not your ideal, but there's a great amount of trust and goodwill you, Frank and the team have built up over the past 10 years.

In other words, we're down for option 2. Even if the missing items arrive in an over-the-air firmware update on launch day or a few weeks after.

The internet is going to cry either way. If release is delayed to include certain features, people will bitch. If it is released as soon as possible, but without all of the features people want, they’ll bitch.

Personally if it is Showcase that is holding up the show I suspect many would be ok to wait a month or 2 for that in an update
I am only speaking for myself but I would rather have it ship with Agoura stuff , focus view
And you said there was also some surprises and stuff you have not discussed
But again that me I am not touring and need to automate my show others might feel differently

*** if one surprise is A Badlander model I a sure TGP is ok with it as is

Agreed with the above!

My vote (and hope) is to get Stadium XL in my hands, with as much as can be in it, before the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday (so I can play with it over my extended break).

WiFi updating the minute I start it up the first time is no biggie - I’m sure it’ll be easy peasy.

Complete guesswork here on my part, but the "loading your own songs and add markers for specific snapshots or presets" functionality is probably the barebones version working currently, whereas the "Break it into stems and let it isolate or amplify certain tracks" is probably the more intensive and tricky to get bug-free bit they're trying to wrestle into 1.0 shape.

I would wager they'd be fine shelving that out of launch day and shoring it up for "early next year"

To play devils advocate, do you really want to follow NDSP footsteps and release something half baked and then spend the next year or so listening to people rage about missing promised features? Guessing it will also increase returns. Hard call in my opinion.

Personally I would rather wait for a product that’s more fully baked.

I don't think people would have had a problem with NDSP if it was what, still 3 years?, out and they still don't have their launch quota met

Id still argue majority don't care when it comes to NDSP. It takes following along on forums and social media to see the debacle.
