Is ''it's not the sound so much as the playing experience for me" in the room with us now?

I get where @Eagle 's coming from. Agoura improvements are largely about the responsiveness and playing experience, things that can't be conveyed properly in recordings/clips, especially via YouTube's compression algorithm.Is ''it's not the sound so much as the playing experience for me" in the room with us now?

Hands-on will be the best way to test it. I am looking forward to this as I returned the first helix 45 days after I got it 10 years ago or so before it had any major updates so I figure it’s been 10+ years plus agora is implemented into this somehow so if I get it, I should love it within 45 days and I’ll keep it otherwise if I have the same reaction it’s going backI get where @Eagle 's coming from. It doesn’t seem a totally new product overall… sure gui is new and slick but I guess I was expecting all new amps and effects from the “new” agoura engine.What reason is there to think it's a transition product though? Seems packed with features. And how would someone who buys the helix stadium perceive being offered a "legit agora modeler" only a year after? Would the stadium not get more agora sims or?

And yes, I know that there’s going to be a few amps in there with this new engine and likely no effects, but it’s not gonna have all the old helix stuff in there and as I said a couple times it reminds me thousand having all the old apps but introducing a few examps which the xamps are way more dynamic than the regular amps and when I had the GT 1000 I was kind of bumped because I thought there would be more x amps

Mesa Formula I see you! Looks TIGHT!Yes 2/50/2 and an EvThiele gains are fine but not the clean imo . I also tried a 2/90 and a 2/20 . When I hook up a formula pre or an X88ir or X99 it comes to life .
I have a choice at the studio;

Well, that makes me feel better and I understand more. I’m a gain guy so if the cleans sound good and have some give and a nice harmonics top, I’m good. It’s every little detail that kills me on the gain tones though.It’s not the sound so much as the playing experience for me . In a recording axe sounds pretty much exactly like the amp would in the same recording.

Calling it now, he'll cancel the order.
They will introduce more agora sims :) The hardware is capable of running them. It'll take some time for new firmwares, sure, but it's the way things tend to work now. Software develops and you get updates. But yes, I would have also wished for more agora amps at launch.It doesn’t seem a totally new product overall… sure gui is new and slick but I guess I was expecting all new amps and effects from the “new” agoura engine.

I honestly don't think he ever preordered itCalling it now, he'll cancel the order.
I would absolutely love digital to give me the same experience as my tube gear because life would be much simpler ( and cheaper) but you can’t not notice the difference or should I say I can’t) .When I use axe for fx I run it through a mixer wet only because I hear and feel the DAC. It’s actually less noticeable to run a full model than fx in series with a tube amp and FCM is a definite no from me.I get where @Eagle 's coming from.
