Line 6 Helix Stadium

Eagle, only one can answer your questions - it isn't the Igloo - it is the LAO with his LUFS

I've waxed poetic on this topic literally dozens of times (although most of it was over at TOP). Given an identical playback system, some (but not all) of our HX amp models can be remotely switched between it and the real amp and session players cannot reliably tell if a switch has taken place, much less when the switches took place. So what number do you give "golden ears straight up can't tell the difference"?

Eagle: But I'd be able to tell when they switched.

DI: They all thought that.

However, this result is not 100% consistent with all HX amps, particularly with regard to responsiveness and feel under the fingers. Agoura attempts to fill those gaps as well as tackle perceived inadequacies that are peripheral to measurable, empirical accuracy. Plus some other stuff we haven't really discussed at all.
Thanks. I look forward to trying it out. What do you consider the best amplification for the most realistic player experience?

I felt the disturbance in the Force as hundreds of YouTubers starting practicing their pikachu surprised face in front of their mirrors for their "Line6 Executive Refuses To Say That New Stadium Amp Models Are 100% Better Than Competitor FAS Axe-Fx III"
Its A Trap GIF
I can tell it doesn’t sound as good as FAS because it has an attractive, well-thought out user interface. Bedroom players only. ;)

Isn't the answer always "As realistic as we could possibly get it at this time" which is the same answer Cliff would give as well?
The trouble has been everything is a done deal and every new release and firmware update is the missing link. I went back analog with a X88ir and VHT power amp and it “ is “ the missing link. I use my axe3 as fx atm. I want that level of player feedback.

Honestly the Hx Mark IV Lead model into my Simul 2:90 is brutal as all hell and thats without deep or modern engaged on the power amp. I have zero doubts Helix preamps into a good tube power would have at least some never-modelers walking back their position.

No rack means no serious big acts are going to use it. Even Kemper has a rack and 99 % of the time when you see it live that’s the format. Same for Axe, 3 is used by big acts and FM 9 for the pub players.
As I said, I wonder if this is just an intern product branching the divide between the old helix and whatever is coming, which is new which is 100% agora everything but they kept the old helix name to get helix people on board so that bridge is going tocarry them to like the next hardware iteration which might come out next year with a whole different name, but the same display orientation stuff

Serious big acts are currently using the Helix Floor, the QC, and I know of one band that still uses the FX8, so your argument isn’t valid here

Tim, you keep saying this. It's one of the stupidest ideas you've put on here. That is truly a remarkable benchmark.
