Line 6 Helix Stadium

@Digital Igloo

Is focus mode also available on th cab block? I know it probably doesn't make sense but just curious.
Focus view for cabs lets you move the mic around. Focus view for EQ lets you move bands around. Focus view for Loopers does nothing, at least not right now. Focus view for other future stuff will be different still.

So it doesn't mean zone morphing—it's block-dependent, sort of like, uh, focusing in on that particular item for additional context, in/out/gain reduction meters, and block-specific functionality like assigning defaults, favorites, linking cabs to amps, linking stereo cabs, etc.

On a scale of 1/100 and 100 being the amp analog where realistically do you put helix and stadium?
Amp only.

I want his honest opinion but I won’t get it.
It's a loaded question. Line6 has been at it for a very long time, and they've managed to create products that people enjoy and use for a living. I'm one of them. They have a great track record, and some even prefer the modeling experience over traditional analog/tube devices. I feel like they've done a splendid job up to this point of bridging the worlds of tradition, current and future tech. There's no reason to doubt or be pessimistic with the Stadium, especially since it's not even available yet.

There's nothing he can gain by giving you some arbitrary number - you will never be satisfied by his answer and it only opens up the "DI said it's 100% like a real amp!" or "DI said it's 95% like a real amp, wHy CaN'T iT bE oNe HuNdReD"
The only way it can be the same is if you model everything in the interaction and that is effectively impossible so it’s a number less than 100 and hopefully good enough to not detect a difference as the player . This isn’t yet possible.
Does it sound good? Yes but it’s not the same and the dogshit frfr that you can get doesn’t give you an amp interaction.

No one in any company is going to answer a question like that sensibly.

I've waxed poetic on this topic literally dozens of times (although most of it was over at TOP). Given an identical playback system, some (but not all) of our HX amp models can be remotely switched between it and the real amp and session players cannot reliably tell if a switch has taken place, much less when the switches took place. So what number do you give "golden ears straight up can't tell the difference"?

Eagle: But I'd be able to tell when they switched.

DI: They all thought that.

However, this result is not 100% consistent with all HX amps, particularly with regard to responsiveness and feel under the fingers. Agoura attempts to fill those gaps as well as tackle perceived inadequacies that are peripheral to measurable, empirical accuracy. Plus some other stuff we haven't really discussed at all.
