WhateverI agree with you, but only when you are talking to yourself
Huh? It looks cool but why the rush to want it? When it’s gonna be around for a while.? It’s not rare or anything.. how’s that multiple personalitiesJesus, and people say I’ve got multiple accounts. At least I’ve got just one personality.
Here, I'll make this easy for you:Quad Cortex shipped unfinished.
Fender TMP shipped unfinished.
Kemper MKII shipped unfinished.
Line 6 Stadium shipped unfinished.
New Helix, Kemper + Fractal forthcoming...

Fractal will have something new of course… they are a business so that’s how it goes right?Yes to the first two ... probably X years for the 3rd unless something has been confirmed in the last day or so - and I don't mean Cliffs "game boy post" :)
I could be wrong, but there is nothing anywhere from Fractal that even hints that a next gen product is even on the near horizon.
I find this post interesting on fractal forum… and logical

Line 6 is owned by Yamaha which is a publicly held company. Publicly held companies spend minimum and try to maximize profits. They will not spend the money to make a great product. Instead, they will spend the minimum amount and try to market it to the masses.
Look at the Helix, they milked that dry with all those silly variations. Helix, HX FX, Helix Light, FX stomp, FX Stop XL, Helix One.
A good indication of quality modeling is to take a preamp model into the real power amp of that amp. It should sound the same when the controls are set like the real amp. Fractal was the first modeler that I ever found this to be true. Line 6 not even close. I have many of the real amps that Fractal models. And they are dead
Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.@Digital Igloo You mentioned Proxy could be trained on non-audio sources. What's an example of that?

Whatever
You would think if they could build a starship that travels across the galaxy, that they'd be able to build a language model that lets him say "Hot Earl Grey Tea".Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.
Who is hating? If someone is bummed about releasing unfinished just wait or buy and grow into it or with it. It looks cool and slick for sure but the real proof will be in the tones and maybe not the effects cause line6 has pretty much same effects in the og helix and this so if you like helix effects they will be there again..
the gui is slick as will likely be the looper and form is sleeker then the og. Great designs for sure.
I have no hate or love of it yet. But I respect slick design
So far what I've seen from the promo material is it's not a lot more than a Helix+ with some UI updates, I would have wanted to see a complete overhaul of the Amp parameters and interaction, ie. a nicer interactive graphical representation of the amp where you can change the amp view back/front and tweak the virtual knobs etc.
The red sliders are so 'Helix', I thought 10 years was enough time to evolve from that.
I meant visually. It looks like the same old Helix. As such, I respectfully disagree with your statement that "it's not a lot more than a Helix+ with some UI updates".

The 2D Focus slider is a begginers feature and will get less use than Line 6 thinks in my opinion.
I guess my biggest concern about next gen is Line 6's approach to modeling and updating existing models, what I see in the promo material is they didn't update the same old parameter slider with Sag, bias, hum, ripple... these parameters are from the Pod HD era.
What about changing virtual tubes, impedance curves, output tap mismatching, lower mains voltage, etc. things I can do with a real amp, I would have wanted something that is a little more evolved than a Pod HD++ or a Helix+.
Focus view is for both beginners and power users. Did you not watch the keynote?I meant visually. It looks like the same old Helix.

Short answer: Our customers have different wants and needs than Fractal customers. And remember—you're looking at what we've chosen to divulge and no more. Complaining about what you think it might not have might be considered... premature.I guess my biggest concern about next gen is Line 6's approach to modeling and updating existing models, what I see in the promo material is they didn't update the same old parameter slider with Sag, bias, hum, ripple... these parameters are from the Pod HD era.
