I wonder if these are real data driven dates for current sales or just numbers they pull out of their ***** to make a sale? I pre ordered from them a few months ago with 20% off and just figured I wouldn't see one until next year.

I was told that GC/MF have plenty of units on hand to cover pre-orders and more, and that you should see them before end of month.

That reminds me of when life was easy. When I was a little kid I had a friend on the block who used the euphemism "make cookies" for that particular function. But I met him when I was like 4 years old, and I spent a good two years thinking he had to go in to help his mom bake cookies all the time. Then I'd go home, "Mom, why don't you make us cookies every day like Mrs [Neighbor lady]. Cracks me up even now to think about it.

You have to remember that he got 20% off via a coupon, and you're already paying 20% extra in VAT.

Doesn't mean it sucks any less of course, but if you take out the VAT and convert, the UK price is about the same as what Sweetwater is charging on their website.

Sure, you always have to be careful when doing the calculations with these things because U.K. prices are always shown including the tax, USA prices typically get shown without tax. This discrepancy in how they look at first glance causes many a ‘WTAF?’ until you realise they show this way and that the price paid in the end is usually much closer. In this case, with the abundant coupons you guys seem to be getting, there is a significant difference - the calcs I did here were based on one lucky buyer posting his price including tax and shipping to his door - I then did a £ to $ conversion to show the difference and that’s where I got the fact that, in this guy’s case vs me, there’s a ‘real world delivered after taxes’ difference of $650. We can’t currently get credit from Andertons on this or points either…..

I’m still ok paying what I’ve paid - my ethos with anything is ‘buy a good one if you can and stick with it’. I am hopeful of getting 10 years from it and it still having some second hand value at that point. Nothing is guaranteed but my current solution was also expensive at the time I bought but it has given me 13 years happy use plus will will be sold on soon to make someone else happy. If you look at the cost of ownership spread over that time it’s not so bad IMO.

I’m in the position that this is an unnecessary luxury for me - I’m not gigging for money or releasing music that people pay me for or running a studio so this is pure indulgence on my part. I’m spending money on personal enjoyment and (considering how cool this thing seems to be) I’m very grateful I’m currently in a position to be able to do that. Might not always be that way so I’ll enjoy it while I can.

Well one guy has one that got away , got to say he was very respectful he offered not to show it or post any clips but the response from Line6 was also great , Frank told him open it up , play it and just to post a support ticket and they would have someone get in touch and walk him through the 1.1 update as it not yet available
I thought it was pretty classy
