Everybody seems happy getting their hands on a new product whether finished or not and writing a blank check to Line 6 for releasing it as it is. That’s not cool with me so I am labeled as a dumbass. Really.

We don’t need new effects, they’ve been developing them for ten years!
It does have some new effects! They just never told anyone until now! You’ve already got the “new” effects in your old box!
Ok, we do need new effects but we’re willing to wait!
Line 6 can’t be expected to research and develop a complete product and ship it when the market is ready for it! That would take planning and unrealistic resources that YGG just doesn’t have! It would take years and years! But they’ll release the new effects in just a few months!

I expect more from Line 6 especially since Yamaha acquired them. I’m not a dumbass for that. I’m betting Line 6 would prefer to ship with a finished product but can’t because there current platform is getting ancient and competition never sleeps.

I think you're being misleading here. Line 6 told you exactly how the Helix Stadiums will ship. If you don't like it, sure thing, don't buy it - in fact, never buy a device based on future promises, from any manufacturer.

There's at least one unit in that list notorious for being the complete opposite.

You’re confusing “always in progress” with “charging people to be beta testers”. This isn’t going to be a QC situation where they have to go back and edit the pre-release marketing stuff and the wait 4 years for shit they advertised on preorder to START showing up. Or a TMP situation where they literally did the modeling wrong to work proper with IRs (and obviously didn’t even listen to some of the early models). Or some sub $500 thing from Amazon that is “finished” because it will be abandoned for new hardware in 24 months.

I'm probably finalizing my next job in the next couple of weeks. Then I'm going to preorder a Helix Stadium. I'll then wait for November. Once I see Fender drop an update with a small number of "everybody else already had these" amps (or maybe they'll have one that's all Blues Junior variants), some trippy pedals I don't use, and one more "we swear it's perfect now" attempt at scenes, I can sell it.
