Line 6 Helix Stadium

Dont mention that name lol

I hope there will also be Agoura effects, especially drives. Although I used my floor as a pure pedalboard and got along pretty well with most of the drives I never found a nice fuzz.
But my biggest hopes with Agoura is feel™. I always found others somehow better™ in that regard.

I couldn't care less about capturing tbh, but the fact that HXS will be able to train Proxy captures in the cloud while you use your device for something else, and download them automatically once finished, is really impressive.

The ToneJunkies of the world are going to go apeshit over this.
Are we calling Helix Stadium "HXS" now? Because that's going to drive me completely nuts. HXS has meant HX Stomp in thousands of posts to date. How about we agree on "Stadium"? 7 characters. It will help build character(s).

Yeah I think the appreciation outweighs the negative ones.

Honestly, if you are a digital fan and this new Helix doesn't excite you in some way, reconsider some things 😂

Not saying you have to be thinking I NEED IT or even plan to purchase one. But what L6 just launched is a a huge step forward for digital and is exactly what I'd expect the next generation to have feature and looks wise

It doesn't really excite me. I am happy with what I have (Axe-FX III and FM9). While the feature set looks like it will be industry leading and innovative, I don't find the currently announced new features to be things that I'd personally use. Innovation and fierce competition are great for moving the industry forward, so I do applaud that and I look forward to seeing how Line6 develops the product down the line.

A big component of it for me is that I've invested a lot of time into learning the Fractal ecosystem. The FAS gear has proven to be great sounding, reliable, and easy to use live (excellent foot switching capabilities). If I'm going to have to learn how to use another platform there would need to be a non-trivial payoff in terms of audio quality or features that I intend to use. I haven't been convinced that the HX Stadium will offer a significant improvement in terms of what matters while actually playing the guitar. Perhaps the actual product launch will convince me to get onboard once they start to release walkthroughs of the features and we get to hear / see what it can do.

he is busy at the moment getting ready to re launch the kemper profiles mk 2 store so he is unavailable for comment at this time

Re: questions about Proxy and Nam, from Igor @ Line 6 / thebishopgame today ~

You will absolutely be able to make your own Proxy clones. User does the capture, uploads to the cloud for processing, gets sync'd back to the device when it's done.

No subscriptions, Eric and I are not fans of that model. NAM’s a maybe, but Proxy does have a number of advantages over it since we can tailor it to our hardware. We do know how much people like NAM though.

Let me get this right. If I'm understanding correctly...

I could upload some songs and break them down into stems. Send the non-guitar stems to a couple PA speakers. Send a guitar signal (with or without the guitar stems) to either the FR-12s or real amp and cab. Have Showcase do all the preset/snapshot/midi changes. And send a separate mix with a dedicated click to an in ear system if desired. And could do that anywhere from at home to on a stage. All without connecting to a computer/laptop?

That sound right?? If so....damn.

It does look very cool though - and I'm curious to see which DSP(s) they went with.

They do seem to definitely still be the leaders of UI and usability from what was shown - if they can then match the fidelity of Fractal in terms of amp modeling then Fractal REALLY has their work cut out for them.

From practicing to live use - incredibly cool.
