Plus I don’t know if it will be their regular pace of updates but 1.2 is already going to have 3 new Agoura amps , so if they have a couple of Agoura amps every quarter that list is going to expand quickly

Agreed, but I think the bigger dividend will be new effects - and starting with reverbs. That's the area where they can break any lingering perception perception that Stadium is just "Helix+".

True , I have not paid enough attention to proxy but I am thinking maybe some reverb might be able to be captured
And stadium will be able to do some convolution
The Fender models are great and Hotone has that new pedal doing it they has rave reviews so I am thinking in time perhaps proxy will be able to captures “spaces”

They're crazy?

You hang out on these forums for years constantly commenting on modelers without ever buying one. At least they put their money where their mouth is and do something after all that talk.

With you...it's constant yo-yoing back and forth. Not that there's anything wrong with that - but just saying - I don't think they're the only ones that are crazy. ;)

I have bought a few modelers like mx5 and gt1000 and original helix in last 10 yrs but none really were my thing. I like my katana mk3 artist stereo setup and my older tonelabse.. as well as my adrenelinn3 . What’s lamer is guys who buy and sell the same Unix 3-5x in a few years

I thought the three new amps were at 1.1 so we get them on launch day? Then the first generation of Showcase is 1.2? Pretty sure I saw that from @Digital Igloo but please forgive me if I’m throwing manure on the fires of speculation.

Unfortunately, no. 1.1 is really more like the true 1.0.

1.2 will bring three amps, Showcase and is scheduled to drop in December at some point.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the correction - my apologies for the inaccuracy. Although I’m not going to be using Showcase for controlling lights and all the other cool stuff, I’m really looking forward to sticking a backing track in the unit and having fun with it.

I’m in the fortunate position of never having owned a Helix so I’ve got tons to explore besides Agoura. For a start, I’m looking forward to getting my hands on some of the (very cool) existing amps that will be in there too. I bonded with several during my Helix Native trial and I’m excited to have those back in my life alongside all the stuff that is new to everyone. I’m also looking forward to playing with the input impedance and seeing how it works with the fuzz tones - I’ve never had that ability before (besides with some home made fuzz pedals) so that will also keep me busy :)

Likewise - I’ve been really busy with work the past couple years so playing time diminished. I’m really looking forward to showcase so I can make the stadium my practice tool with backing tracks and then also learning to master the looper.

Anyone who perceives Stadium as "Helix +" has been living in a cave.

It's probably going to be a while before Stadium adds effects that won't also be added to Helix/HX boxes, so if that's their arbiter of whether or not Stadium is appreciably different, they're going to have a bad time. I'd also consider that gatekeeping.

Seven new Agoura channels drop with 1.2.

I didn’t realise this thing was made by Yamaha 😎
Line 6 was acquired by Yamaha in 2013, under Yamaha Guitar Division. A few years later, Yamaha Guitar Group was created and Line 6 and Ampeg—and now Cordoba and Guild—appear as brands under the YGG umbrella. @line6.com and [email]@yamahaguitargroup.com go to the same inbox.

But Helix Stadium isn't made at Yamaha factories. Design, development, and even manufacturing are still done in much the same way as before the Yamaha acquisition.

Thanks for the heads up.
I personally wouldn’t jump on the first to buy bandwagon .
I’ll put money on this thing having loads of teething problems 😳
