Very sort of weird soft launch release. Seems some have it but itās sporadic.Has non-XL been officially released already or just a few stores got some stock? It's still not available in Thomann (expected in 5-7 weeks) and I was wondering if Line6 might be waiting for firmware 1.3 to be ready to release it together with the non-XL.
Yāall werenāt kidding about the buggy ass experience. I canāt even get into this thing because I canāt log into my account. The QR code doesnāt generate, and if I manually type my username and password, the āLog Inā button does nothing.
Very cool.
Edit: Never mind, you can skip the buggy bullshit by circumventing it. Just canāt get updates or use the editor orā¦
Manually setting the clock fixed the issue. For whatever reason.Use Line 6 Central and connect via USB. You should be able to download the firmware and get it on there.
good catch. clock time is important for the establishment of an SSL session for cert validation. If the sender's client time and server time are too far off, the session won't authenticate at all.Manually setting the clock fixed the issue. For whatever reason.
FWIW, it wasnāt my idea. Take a listen and let me know what you think. After putting it under a microscope I know why it initially threw me off. At least all of this has paid dividends cause I know how to work with it now.

Same cab for both. Also a tubescreamer with the same settings for both.

Iām just as puzzled, no idea. Happy to be wrong in the settings I used itās why I pasted them. If someone has an explanation Iām all ears.Just on my phone atm, will listen properly shortly. But I do find it odd that theyāre this different. Itās not a higher fidelity version, the voicing/frequently balance is wildly different.
Surely one of them has to be broken/wrong?

In my examples itās the one thatās scooped and has a notch of more top end. Probably why itās helped get you those tones. Usually a fair bit more low end and mids throughout itO
The SLO model is the one amp model that, regardless of modeller, I struggle with. I want to get those hot-rodded Marshall sounds that I have heard others get from it. But I never can. It sounds too dark. The Agoura model is the only one I have ever managed to get it from, so I did wonder if it was either inaccurate or their reference model is off-spec somehow.

B is agoura. I did some comparisons and the Agoura model seems more scooped than the handful of other sims I tried.B sounds nicer to me.

I also just grabbed one of Ed's old demo's and I duplicated his HX settings and it came out identical to his one. I then used the Agoura model and same as my example here.
Ironically I do like the Agoura but it seems like the anomaly compared to others. Normally with a SLO I'll scoop the mids and crank the top end but I guess if the Agoura model leans scooped by nature then I was just double fry-ing it which is why it kept sounding odd to me before bothering to run it against other models. Now that I know not to cook the top end and give it some mids, I'm getting some great results with it.
