I was mucking around with mic positioning and wanting to go for something a little darker than I usually would.

What do you think? How does this translate to your end?

Right, so clip 1 was my experimenting with mic position. I positioned the mic halfway between the dust cap and the edge of the speaker. I'm half into how dark it sounds, but also I wish for more bite myself.

Clip 2 was after @MirrorProfiles called me a thundercunt (like they all do!) and said he'd prefer fewer mids... so I turned the mids down and the presence up a bit.

Clip 3 is the same settings as clip 2, but the microphone position was my more 'normal' position, which is usually where the dust cap meets the cone, right on that line. Which is definitely more to my tastes.
