IK Multimedia Group Buy 2025

The problem with this promotion is I'm going to need an additional hard drive to download everything

Yeah. Would be great if some of their synth offerings weren't samplebased. I had to move the Syntronik library to an external SSD already, essentially resulting in things to never get used as I really only want to use things I can keep on the Macbook all the time.

@IK Multimedia if I purchased and registered two ToneX One brown editions, would that count at $499.98 value, or just the single $249.99?
They show as 2 seperate items so it looks like you can pick twice as many things but at single price each. And also they look to convert to because I paid way more in $.

Can I buy a (for example) a Tonex One pedal from a UK distributor and still be able to participate in the group buy when I register the pedal with the IK Product Manager? The reason I ask is, when I have bought hardware direct from IK Multimedia (Tonex Pedal, Tonex Cab) I have ended up having to pay import duty which was quite a lot of money. Buying from a UK distributor I won't have to. I know it doesn't apply to software.

From all I know, it's only important to buy from a certified seller.

You can get one from Amazon UK. That's where I got mine and think it is the IK Multimedia store on Amazon. It's listed as a certified reseller. Gone up about £7 since I got mine but still good deal and you get the €199 value for your free software.

If you wouldn’t mind reporting back, I’d be interested to hear your impressions once you get the HD.

The iRig HD X arrived. My previous iRig (lost) dates from > 10 years ago.

I like it. It's small and portable.
  • No input gain control, which is a good thing IMO.
  • Single turn/push knob, which works well.
  • Sufficient I/O. The direct/wet output is handy, for example when using Tonex One hardware and software simultaneously.
  • No noise.
  • It lets me set the buffer in software below 1 ms. No [edit: noticeable] latency when listening to the processed signal. Direct monitoring is also possible.
  • Tested with MacBook and iPad and iPhone.
  • Has a tuner.
Not too expensive, especially when taking into regard the current group buy action. Downloaded lots of fun stuff (Hammond etc.).

Thanks, I think that is exactly what I will do.

And fwiw, even if latency doesn't bother you, I'd still measure it because if the reported latency isn't accurate, there will be a recording offset.

I have no idea to measure iRig ...

It doesn't have INs and OUTs to connect a loopback cable to.
Pinging in the I/O plugin doesn't register activity on the track.

I'm a basic DAW user.

Maybe headphone out to instrument input? Or amp out in processed signal mode -> instrument in?

Use RTL Utility for the measurements and setup.

Tried that but it reports that the test is not reliable.
That can happen if the input/output levels are not right. If there is any option in iRig config to turn up instrument input gain, try turning that up as well as headphone output level.
