IK Multimedia Group Buy 2025

I think MODO Drums are excellent, but editing is quite an adventurous thing involving lots of clicks (not exactly an unusual thing in IK land).
MODO Bass ain't bad, either, but the same thing applies.
Cheers, yeah I'm reasonably unskilled in a daw as tend to just use it for rough demos of solo acoustic stuff historically. Might be fun to play around with though, and it is free. I have modo drums cs already so would it need to be upgrade then buy kits?

I’m still on the fence about joining this group buy, though, since as a current Total Studio 5 MAX and Brown Sound 78/79 owner, it looks like the only eligible software I don’t already have is the two other Brown Sound collections and the ENGL Ampthology Volume 1.

(Neither ReSing nor the Tonex Bass collection are eligible.)

Fell off the fence today.

(That is; ordered another Tonex One. But not directly from IK this time!)

Where did you end up buying it from?

I ordered from an authorized dealer here in Norway.

(When I bought my first Tonex One I ordered directly from IK. Since IK doesn’t remove EU/Italian VAT when exporting from the EU to Norway, I had to pay both EU/Italian and Norwegian VAT. So even after using some JamPoints, I would have been better off buying at full price locally (or from someone internationally like Thomann, who doesn’t make me pay VAT twice).)

I'm *this* close to ordering a second Tonex One... will have to do download some more clean amps and check how much better they will do compared to the Amp Academy (which is actually doing amazingly well, even if the dirt sounds are not really something to write home about...).

me too. I went for this one. free shipping. (tonex 379 + one 171) I really hope they open up 3rd party tonex packs as part of the offer as I have everything else aside from BrSound3. also used $100 jampoints

Have you checked out the "free tasters" from Amalgam?

Here's a recent v2 clean capture (amp+cab) of a BF Deluxe Reverb: https://www.tone.net/tonex/tonemodels/89577

And here's a recent v2 clean capture (amp+cab) of a Dr. Z Z80: https://www.tone.net/tonex/tonemodels/89800

One of my favourites from Amalgam is the Bartel Roseland captures. I have both the DI version and the full (amp+cab) version of that - both v1 though. I believe the only free one of the Bartel is this edge-of-breakup capture (I think it's great!): https://www.tone.net/tonex/tonemodels/42903

Edit: You should also - if you haven't already - check out the v2 DI captures of a Princeton Reverb and a Vibrolux Reverb by the user Funkybot: https://www.tone.net/tonex/users/funkybot

The Bartel Roseland is just superb

Yes, straight away.

Cool, thanks! I will very likely order a second TO in the next hours or so (need to test some things before).
Found some clean sounds that are so good I really wouldn't want to miss out on them on my live board.

And btw, I kinda found them accidentally. Or rather: They weren't what they were supposed to sound like, the reason being that before I was surfing ToneNET, I fooled around with the TO's compressor. Which stays at its settings when you just load another capture. So it was still on when I stumbled over a Lonestar clean channel capture - and I was instantly wow-ed. Even had an IR locked instead of using the captured cab. So, in a nutshell it was defenitely not what the person capturing had in mind, but it's absolutely great.
Gotta say that the Tonex' compressor is pretty decent in general anyway. Not much to fool around with but it very often seems to fit pretty great.

Yeah, the compressor is actually really helpful even if you just use it for balancing different capture volumes.

I noticed the discount at $169.99 is gone from all the sites (I guess right after it was applicable to the group buy?)

Where did you end up buying it from?
No, that was a US/Canada promotion that ended September 30th as planned.

Edit - apparently with a dealer not ending it, which confused things. They should be automated, so our rep reached out to them as that is not fair to other dealers.
