What are you listing these for?Voodoo Valve, Rocktron Piranha, Chameleon, Carvin, Alesis, DigiTech 2101, Korg, ADA…
I love me a nice rack and using both hands.
Stuff I used to use and would like to see variants today in line with OP.What are you listing these for?
I agree, the reverbs are not good. I don't use reverb so that's fine with me. I pretty much only use the delays and pitch detune, and they sound good enough. I also love the relays for amp channel switching. The noise gate is good too.The last one really. I had one but didn’t like the reverbs much. Probably the best all in one 1U in semi recent memory.

With analog dry.
Oh man I hear you. Your rack with the IV and the G Major sent me down a gear rabbit hole about 7 or 8 years ago I still haven't dug out of! IIRC, get the Laird Williams White Paper. It was a super frustrating unit to program until I read that.Dammit @Desertdweller.
This thread just made me buy a cheap used G System to replace my aging G major 1 and fcb1010.
Looks like I may to have to put my IV back in the rack.
I'll be pestering you about it how to use it when it arrives no doubt![]()
Just for you VinceOh man I hear you. Your rack with the IV and the G Major sent me down a gear rabbit hole about 7 or 8 years ago I still haven't dug out of! IIRC, get the Laird Williams White Paper. It was a super frustrating unit to program until I read that.
Depending on the rack maybe rack it on the back? Super sick you're using the g system!Just for you VinceFortin 33 and precision drive clones in the top shelf, going full 4cm.
My only peeve is I wish the ethernet port was around the back.
G system sucks tone pretty badly in the front end loops .Depending on the rack maybe rack it on the back? Super sick you're using the g system!
Still sounds really damn good though for the time they were released.G system sucks tone pretty badly in the front end loops .
You can bypass the entire loop section by plugging into the "insert" return, that's after the loops and straight into the effects processor. That's how I used my G-System. Then it's pretty much like a G-Major 2, with the bonus of having a great foot controller and rack or board flexibility. For the price they go for today, it's a great option.G system sucks tone pretty badly in the front end loops .
I just use my axe 3 fx only with my X88ir. I don’t put anything digital in front and using a mixer to keep the analog dry . I hade a G major 2 and it was only just about acceptable as long as reverb was low in the mix.You can bypass the entire loop section by plugging into the "insert" return, that's after the loops and straight into the effects processor. yeah I wasn't talking about putting anything digital in front, just removing the loops section completely. . I don't think you understood what I meant.
