My take (in my experience);
The AxeFx is great, the engineers and developers behind it are great on personal level, but the almost relegious like community and the people who are in charge of it, not so much.
Like two separate worlds.

A lot of folks are quite passionate about it though. So much so that IIRC someone at Fractal had to make a post a while back telling the community to calm down when defending Fractal stuff (paraphrasing).
