Wireless Lekato WS-50 short review

I’ve been using the WS-50 system with my electric violin, because having a cable hanging off my shoulder gets annoying quick. Sounds great to me, and I guess this shows I’m no Steve Vai when it comes to latency. They don’t feel very rugged, but thankfully violins tend to bump into fewer things than guitars.

I think that due to the nature of the bowed attack, violins are somewhat less of a victim of latency.

wireless latency isn't noticeable, if you've been using wireless for parts of 5 decades :rofl:rollsafe

As said, in combination with other latency-introducing devices, it might result in crossing a certain latency acceptance threshold. And given my own experience and those of some mates I fooled around with all things latency, regardless of their general "acceptance value", the area when things cross the tipping point seems to be amazingly small.

If you were using wireless for 5 decades then chances are you were using analog for a good portion of them which had pretty much zero latency.

I've been using digital since around 2004. I only know what latency is because I read about it. ;)

I mean, yes, on the odd occurence that I walked down the street while playing guitar, I could feel that latency, but not when I'm still on stage, within 50 feet of my gear.

I have the ws90. Not sure if that makes any difference at all. Tried all 4 channels on them
I don't think I've ever seen a complaint about hiss with the WS-50, and I get zero hiss with my Helix. Have you tried switching frequencies?

though.

I know a couple of YouTubers that have had that make die on them not long after good reviews.😳
I bought my son one of these 7 years ago after watching this video and it’s still going strong 👌

Now that I've used the WS-50 on my bass, I can hear the crispy top of the dynamic range. My bass with its active preamp is much louder than any of my passive electric guitars.

How are these holding up? I have had mine (WS50) for a couple of years now and it's still going strong. I mostly use it for rehearsals and church where it give at least 4 hours+, I have actually never run out of charge with it. No problematic latency of sound quality issues. I recently started using it on band gigs and am picking up a second one as a backup.

I have the ws90 and they work fine, decent battery life etc, but most helix units they seem to add a fair bit of noise. They don't with cheap pa and my acoustic though which is odd.

I've finally started using my WS-50 for a few gigs. Would recommend. I might pick up a second and third pair for backup/rehousing
