Here comes Kemper. Bye Felicias

Jay Mitchell I’m guessing?
:)
I’m autistic,
I'm not. I sympathize with the challenges you must face as a result of your condition, but I don't face them myself.

and I actually stuck up for the guy— the way he interacted with others in such a literal way, I assumed he WAS autistic.
There's where you went off the rails. It's called "projection," and you really shouldn't do it.

FYI, interacting with others via text in an online forum only works reliably when you do so in a literal way. The cues required to do otherwise - body language, eye contact or lack of same, speech inflections - are largely missing from text. And you can't count on others to pick up sarcasm or wit, no matter how obvious. Some do, many do not. Just sayin'....

I posted a picture of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. Beneath it there were these words:

“Love is in the air?
No!!!!
N2, O2, CO2 is!!!”

Then I said, “You know, maybe Jay’s autistic. That would explain the way he interacts with people.”

Next:

Immediate 2 week ban!
FWIW, I never saw that post. Somebody must have reported it for you to get banned, but it wasn't me.

I was like, WTF?! I’m sticking up for the guy,
I'm no apologist for TGP moderation - I've taken some hits myself - but I don't even remotely read the above remarks as "sticking up for the guy."

because I’m autistic and sometimes accidentally offend people.
OTOH, I'm not autistic and sometimes intentionally offend people.

Word to the wise: attempting to psychoanalyze others with nothing but text to go on is always a losing proposition.

As cool as all this new stuff for the Kemper is, the minute someone from Fractal or Line 6 figures out how to shoehorn a NAM player block into their modelers, Kemper is fukt.

I do admire Kemper constantly adding new shit to their old hardware though; that’s commendable for sure.

Much ado about something that interests Kemper peeps. Which is cool if you dig it? Being stuck in all I want is Boogieland means it's not a piece I will end up revisiting ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Beta is live, just tried it out.

Adjusting the EQ does feel better than it did before, in that you can adjust by more without things falling apart.

Besides that, utter shite.

The new liquid profile presets sounded bad to me, but I generally haven't had much luck with those profile creators (not my kind of tones, or cabs/mics). Tried some of my own presets, and loading IR's externally because I think the Kemper's IR loader is also a huge weakpoint - generally works quite well, before I would never touch the kemper EQ because things unravel quickly and sound weird. I think now its possible to shape things more and get things where you might need.

But the tone stack's I tried didn't feel familiar at all to the amps I'm used to. Tried one of the new BE100 liquid profiles - the tone stack with treble at 0 felt nothing like the real amp would, likewise with how the 5150 and rectifier EQ's behaved. Kemper still has its uses but there are so many better options if you want the experience of playing specific amps (or even capturing).

What about the gain control models with bright caps?
I think I’d need to try making my own first, when ai applied liquid profiles to my existing models, the gain would snap to weird values. Like a Friedman HBE model would snap to maxed out gain for a sound that’s about 6/10 on an HBE. IDK, all feels like it’s fixing a very minor problem that was never that much of a problem.

The EQ does behave a bit nicer now, and is useable. Not sure it feels accurate to the real amps and everything is more cluttered and confusing now as a result. and this in an age where there are so many good competing products offering more choice, more accuracy, better UI etc.

Its extremely early hours/days .... so take this with a grain of salt .... kind of like the Fractal forum when a new "epiphany" is released, but the Kemper Private Forum is raving at the moment ! ?

Surprised no TJ / MBritt / KPA official video's up yet (?)

For me ... the only "test" or "comparison" that will matter is someone doing a Liquid Profile fully from scratch ground up using one of the 40 "channels" with their same amp .... and then comparing, say, 10 or so wildly different settings on the real amp to the same wildly different settings in the profile .... if that works .... dare I say it, I'm probably "back in" :)

From what I've seen on the forum, they are saying "it sounds great!". Like you said nobody is comparing it to a real amp setting, just that it sounds better.

Hopefully it works out for them!

^^ These ^^ are the only tests that will matter ! :) ... and they will determine if L.P actually is the next Great Leap Forward in modeling -or- just a mildly better existing Kemper Profile.

That's mainly academically interesting and I hope someone impartial (in other words not someone selling profiles) takes the time to do those tests.

The only thing that really matters is if Kemper users feel these new profiles allow them to get their preferred sounds without switching to a different profile. If they do, then that solves a major hurdle in using the device, even if it's not actually accurate. But as long as preferred results are gained, it's going to be fine.
