From what I understand, Catalyst owners have been requesting them to be added to the Helix. Given the fact that they already exist, I’m guessing it was only a matter of porting them.

I could see this as a way of turning Helix owners onto the Catalyst line and vice versa. I can’t speak on this as I only owned a Catalyst 60 for less than 24 hours. I didn’t like the sound of the cabinet whatsoever and I didn’t have the chance to listen to the amp models direct and through an IR.

I view any free additions to the Helix platform as only a good thing as it adds value to an already mature product line.
