Helix 3.8 when?

Does DI have to remote in from his vacation to make the firmware announcement posts?
He probably has everything already typed out and ready to go out automatically as soon as the date/time of the update is released.

Some real 007 shit going on here

I have to admit the whole surprise update thing used to be fun but considering this seems like it's going to be a modest (and maybe underwhelming considering what other companies are doing) update it's starting to get a little annoying.

It's new stuff for your device that you don't have to do anything to get apart from wait a little bit.

Why is that annoying?

Because it just seems like it's trying to be too cute at this point. I appreciate the fact that the same device has been updated 60 whatever times since it was released but if they're going to trickle out small updates then why not just announce the date?

Who's trying to be cute? Line 6? the 61 page speculation thread isn't of their making and was literally started the day 3.7 came out. Blame us forum posters if anything, not L6

According to DI they won't know the date until it's finalised. Also if they do release a date and push it back because a new bug pops up they'll be inundated with people crying about it like it's the end of the world.

Except is it really a surprise to anyone ?
