Oh, I have nothing against him. I’ve learned a lot from his Helix videos. I just like to poke fun at him every once in a while.I like Jason Sadites. His videos have been really helpful for me.

They helped me steer clear of lengthy YouTube talk, and play guitar insteadI like Jason Sadites. His videos have been really helpful for me.
There are other tape saturation plugins, but I happen to like what Retro Reel does. With 1176es, however, if we did something that radically different from, say, what UA does with their various 1176 plugins, we'd have royally screwed up.Sounds like we're getting an 1176 ladies and gentlemen
Kind of scary how often I'm using Helix native as a regular mixing plugin. I still haven't figured out what will trigger it going latent. I swear I've had chains with zero PDC added and then the exact same chain adding 16 samplesThere are other tape saturation plugins, but I happen to like what Retro Reel does. What I'm talking about doesn't exist in plugin form at all, AFAIK.
This is so spot on. Thanks, I hate it.
I like him to, and i learned a lot about helix from him, but I also learned that I didn’t really need his “special recipe” in my presets.I like Jason Sadites. His videos have been really helpful for me.
In searching for a gif of the Simpsons “less suck” fader I came across this:Talent block ftmfw!!
Man, my father had a bunch of The Far Side books. Good stuff! In searching for a gif of the Simpsons “less suck” fader I came across this:

Helix cup holder confirmed! What I'm talking about doesn't exist in plugin form at all, AFAIK.

I'd sure like an 1176 in Helix.100%
Also, does a guitar processor need to have very specific type of studio effects at all?
You bet people will be comparing the modeled studio effect to other plugins while completely ignoring that it is a guitar processor that needs to run a million other things on a power limited DSP.
I'd sure like an 1176 in Helix.
Yeah. It might just be my familiarity with it, but I find I get better results, faster, on initial mixes using the comps, mods and reverbs in Helix vs. my other plugins (including Izotope’s automated stuff). This includes vocals. The LA-2A and Retro Reel are great for beefing up and leveling tracks.I bet they do a better job than UA....the helix LA2A is a lot more useful than the real thing
Feature request;
4x12 cab with G12-65 form the 80s.
New production Heritage G12-65 will also do.
It is the sound of the 80s, in fact, it's the period correct match for the JCM800. :wink wink:
Not to be confused with the G12M-65 Creamback.
I request this:
Heritage Series G12 65 - Celestion Guitar Speaker
Heritage Series G12 65 - This guitar speaker is widely regarded as one of the best speakers ever produced for use in a 4x12 cabinetcelestion.com
Yep, that's the one.T3120. 16 Ω G12-65 with 1777 lead cone.. T3120 is the one. Late 70’s with the Marshall badge rather than the generic grey label=cooler IMO.
badly modded 2205 and silver dome PA 65’s coming right up!Yep, that's the one.
Line 6 are in California, it shouldn't be hard for them to find a cab with these speakers if they hunt for it on Reverb or even borrow this cab from a local studio.
Line 6 have many rare vintage cabs, they know where to get them.
