Before he had a kid, NKP had valuable presence all the time, IMO.

I think he really had to press Cliff to hear an error on the JP Mk V or something a few years ago? Cliff remained more calm that time and eventually agreed and fixed it. The intervention by NKP was seen as very valuable, AFAIK. IIRC, it was not his only feat to help out in appreciable ways.

People whose native language is not English can easily be taken wrongly and should be given some leeway. If FAS doesn't secretly understand NKP is right too, I worry for their mental health... IMO, he did not deserve Cliff's style of reply, which understandably started things getting out of hand.

Seems those threads have to become a Love Fest now(?), even while Cliff has stated that a simple Like is sufficient for him.

It's also sad he quit sharing his own enthusiasm about a firmware. Weeks of hard work are now kind of hidden into a dry one-liner, making it less easy to appreciate what has gone into it and making us feel we are nobodies...

Nothing wrong with Noma's viewpoint on the matter of authentic/ideal parameters. That's a valid discussion topic which could have been discussed properly.

Where it went wrong is that NKP stated his opinion as the only true approach and therefore degraded Fractal's approach. That tickles any designer's nerves.

It was NOT a language issue. Noma started insulting dissenting members and telling them to shut up long before the final insult.
Normally I wouldn't go into this here. But Noma chose to post here, and opinions are being exchanged.

BTW, English is not my native language. So anything I write in this post can be interpreted in any way that suits your pov.

You actually have no idea what kinds of contributions I have made over the years, and in a general sense, nor do I. But I know there are specific features that were put into the Axe III that came directly from my feedback; like the linear versus exponential damping options in the controller mapping. If you ever used that, then you're welcome.

Aside from that, plenty of amp-tonality feedback over the years too. But you know what I don't need to do? I don't need to suck myself off about it.

The least you can say is him having great ears for the amps/devices he has a lot of experience with (which seem to be plenty). Not only does that make him special, those people are the gems of the community. I have difficulty naming more than 5 or 10 on the FAS forum.

I disagree that he is special because he has "great ears" - lots of people do. Also, lots of people think they do. Therein lies a quandry for you to ponder.

PS: I'm not his fan, nor have I ever tried or purchased his presets. Just being fair!

Wrong. I remember clearly what I said. There is no discussion about my last post : Yes, I clearly told him to shut up because it was enough. But I don’t have done that before him. No insults .The only thing I have said to another is « please be serious a second », and maybe a « you don’t know what you are talking about » . I m sure about that.

Also I don’t know what happened today as I’m not here since 24h . Don’t know why it end up erased.

In most cases, the only time an entire thread is nuked is when it either is centered on one of the forbidden topics, or else it has gotten so far off the rails that the only way to be sure was to nuke the entire thing from orbit. That typically means that everybody is bickering, not just one or two people having at it.

(Orange and red are untouched) this amp is a beast, and with the fortin 33 as boost, it is probably the best tone I ever had with real gear . Life is good, fuck the war . I can’t believe I’m defending that forum, but the vast majority there are good, friendly folk. There’s one or maybe two at the most that feel like they need to have the last word and be the authority on and chime in on every conversation there. You know who I’m referring to if you spend any time there. The rest couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming.
