Or any Friedman pedal? I don’t remember if he (or cap) specifically said IRX/D. I remember someone of them saying “preamp”.I assumed he was using a Friedman IR-X/IR-D in the video?

Because it implies that if it were an amp modelling product, then he wouldn't be using it, because he is a real amps kinda guy.Why would he say he is an amp guy if it’s just an effects unit?
Except in that video all his amp sounds are coming from a Freidman IRXAmp guys use effects though so saying it sounds good and he is an amp guy tells me it also has amp models on it

In today's news:Except in that video all his amp sounds are coming from a Freidman IRX
It implies that he prefers to use real amps, but the gadgets on the floor sounds really good.
Sometimes the hero lives long enough to become the villain.Credit where due, this place owes its very existence to those mods. Fist bump to TOP mods for making TGF such a great place.
I hope it's not what I hope it is so I don't have to once again explain to my partner why I need another thing that does the same thing as all my other things even though I'm not a professional musician and no one wants to hear my music anyway.
No sex pants?Correction. 129 pages and we know:
- It has firmware
- It doesn't "replace" a current Fractal product
- It has presets
- It has chorus and delay effects
- Some units are in people's hands (for developing presets and/or testing)
It pretty likely, but not guaranteed:
It's likely, but speculative at best
- to live on the floor and/or pedalboard
- to have amp (modeling)
- hopefully to be launched "soon ... perhaps later this month" which I assume would be October
- to be smaller than current fractal devices (guess from the Andy Wood video)
- to have more than effects (that is have amps), but based upon statements from Fractal about the FX8
- to use newer SHARC chips
- It's not any type of waffle
Weird… it feels like i said exactly that myself… it felt like reading my own mind when i read it. Who the hell are you! Are you…. Did you… give me two pills to choose from???I hope it's not what I hope it is so I don't have to once again explain to my partner why I need another thing that does the same thing as all my other things even though I'm not a professional musician and no one wants to hear my music anyway.
I was thinking that too but he helped develop the comp and wampler iirc so it may not be a true indicator.Won't have 4CM capabilities I'll wager.
Assumptions - Andy was using Wampler and Friedman drives and didn't bring them up when discussing the Fractal.
He also talked about his compressor before getting to the unnamed box.
If it did have 4CM and pre type devices why would he tease only with post type FX tags?
I wouldn't be too disappointed. Fractal's delays are amazing. We'll all be pretty disappointed when we find out that it's just a digital delay pedal.
They definitely fit and I've had both the FM3 and FM9 on boards but they're fairly large setups. Awesome setups, but on the larger side.I've got two FM9s in my house right now. Both are on pedalboards.
The results are interesting, and should be a decent indicator for what people actually use, what is e.g featured on a YT channel like Leon Todd's and what is "that one guy wanted it" stuff.they recently did a poll of top amps and it was funny to see where the votes went
Even if this box has 20 models I think that would be enough
If there was the Vox brilliant
2203 , deluxe , Stealth , SLO
59plex , Band commander
Etc Or just all FAS models w effects
I’m probably going to mount mine on a pedalboard, but unlike a lot I see, I won’t be doing an angled board. I’d rather do something like a flat board with rolling case. They definitely fit and I've had both the FM3 and FM9 on boards but they're fairly large setups. Awesome setups, but on the larger side.
Regardless, hyperbole aside, they (we) just want a smaller sized unit.
