My cat..., he comes over and lays on my foot whenever I'm playing, but if I go to move my chair even a little bit, to say, adjust a preset or whatever, he feels the need to run away.

Only to come back in 2 minutes. I feel like I can't move, for fear I'm disturbing him!

Well now he's getting really comfortable! Comes over and lays right where I'm tapping my foot, and won't move!
So now I'm tapping my foot on his tail (what is that? Oh it's the cat!), and then has the gall to start flopping his tail around, as if I'm bothering him!

Dude, I my foot was here first. YOU came and laid here. Animals...

Mine can fill up a brush twice a day, if I'm so inclined. And he's not "long-haired."

Echo will chill out behind me in the studio but overall I believe he sees my guitars as something that takes time away from him

If I practice my set of ambient music that I perform solo at open mic night, my dog will hang out in my music room. The second I play anything with a bit of gain at decent volume, she'll get up and leave.

And he even often hangs around when I'm not playing. Ok, ok, I did have an unplugged guitar in my hand for a few minutes - but when I'm playing he prefers to steal my desk chair.

lol, Nuh that was when I was still at THD. First Wife rescued baby squirrels that fell out of the tree and needed bottle feeding.
Which she couldn’t do at her corporate gig.

Side note at that time I had a bind and deaf Australian Sheppard I used to take to work and when I was testing amps full blast he sat in front of the 4x12 rocking to the vibrations

Many a customer that saw it tried to read me the animal cruelty riot act

Stick Figure got the same response because their tour dog Cocoa roams the stage during their gigs. If the dog thought the stage volume was too loud, she probably would avoid the stage altogether. Doesn’t look that bothered to me:
