Did you pre-order a Helix Stadium and if so regular or XL? If not, why not?

My Helix Floor, Stomp XL, HX One, and AxeFx III have all my modeling needs covered. I'm waiting for initial gremlins to be flushed out, and then I'll reassess. I spend more time and prefer playing through my tube amp collection than my modelers.

Same exact situation here. I was debating about it and was going to wait. After finding a coupon that actually worked, I decided I couldn't pass it up.

Went with the XL with zero deliberation. It’s dumb but I’m attached to the scribble strips.

The extra IO and second variable impedance guitar input were also contributors to the decision. I’m in a two guitar band that plays to a click live. Consolidating both guitarists digital rigs into one unit helps reduce the amount of gear I need to haul, and lowers the barrier to automating our patch and snapshot changes to our click.

I went with xl over non xl because of discounts and from what I can tell the scribble strips will be even clearer then the og helix so that’s helpful. The variable input is cool and extra stereo loops may be nice. The pedal I hope is solid and well balanced and rugged.

Had the regular Stadium in the cart with the promo code loaded teetering on the edge of completing the transaction. And then the code stopped working. So now I'll wait.

Unfortunately, I don't need the Stadium at the moment, since in the only band I'm in, I'm currently using a tube amp with pedals.

Even though I'm not really into amp modeling, I will upgrade my OG Helix Floor to the Stadium XL in the future.

I'd love to have it from day one, but I just can't justify it right now.

Same here ... no pre-order here in Germany. I would have ordered a XL, just because I want those scribble strips.

Your post made me go look up the dimensions because I see a fair amount of people holding out for the stomp - and yeah, the Stadium is a 16 inch pedalboard. Not gonna work if you’re used to the stomp.

Probably my only regret with Helix is starting with the HXFX and not the stomp.

Anyway, I imagine L6 is SPRINTING to get a new version of the stomp out the door, though I’d bet my house people are going to lose their shit over the price.

(They’ll still buy it, because it’s probably awesome.)

Your post made me go look up the dimensions because I see a fair amount of people holding out for the stomp - and yeah, the Stadium is a 16 inch pedalboard. Not gonna work if you’re used to the stomp.

I think it’s going to be interesting to see what they do with the Stomp size version of this since a lot of the features are screen based. But I would bet it’s the next thing to be announced given the popularity of the Stomp.

With the announcement of new amp models everyone will want a pedalboard sized one.

But yeah, I bet you’re right about the price. We’ll see.
