I don’t think so. Not sure honestlyDoes the Marcus have any channel switching?

Very interesting. I'd buy one of these just to try, considering I don't know if I'd ever be able to justify the real deal without trying one first, which seems unlikely to ever happen. Maybe the clone will be so good, I'd want the real thing? He ALSO has the verified schematics posted of the Wizard MTL and MCII
Or alternatively, the clone will show that there's nothing that special about them. I'm not convinced the Wizard amps are anything more than a modded JCM800, and you could get those tones out of other boutique amps that cost several thousand less.Very interesting. Same, but for $600, it might be worth seeing what the big deal is.Or alternatively, the clone will show that there's nothing that special about them. Oh for sure. But at $660 shipped they’re built seemingly pretty decent and sound solid. To get a solid approximation of a SLO or Diezel at those prices, it’s an attractive proposition if you’ve got a few bucks to fuck about withThese look great, but they are getting to the price of a used 5150III.
I’ve literally never heard a clip of a Wizard that made my trigger finger itchy.Or alternatively, the clone will show that there's nothing that special about them. That’s why I decided to take a chance on the Dragon. I am interested in the Soldano and VH4 channels the most, but it has Fender Twin cleans and Mk III leads as a bonus.Oh for sure. That’s why I grabbed the Marcus. I generally could give a fuck about the Mark amps, but to have the IIC+/III voicings switchable in the same amp, I’ll do that for this price point.
Yeah the one reason I paused on the Dragon is I didn’t see all the switches for the Mark functions. He doesn’t use the push/pull knobs but rather a toggle switch. That’s why I decided to take a chance on the Dragon. Yeah 100 watts even recorded just seems to translate to “bigger”I just placed a deposit on the 50, but I'm considering reaching to him about options, As I'll only use it in the studio, the 50 is plenty of power, but I'm curious if 100 watts might make a difference in the depth of that VH4 channel, I already have a Mk IIC+ and a JP2C so I'm not that concerned with how the Mk III channel sounds, but when I was playing around with the synergy stuff I had a VH4 and Solano module and kind of miss both of those, JP2C clean does it for me, but the Twin channel has me curious as well.
Thanks. I’ll shoot him a message and see if I can get it in 100 watts. I doubt he has started building mine yet.Yeah 100 watts even recorded just seems to translate to “bigger”
Like when I watched shootouts of the Marshall 20 watt Jubes and 800’s vs the big boi’s at the same settings the 100’s still tracked fuller.
Thats why I went 100 watt on the Marcus build. I’ve already got my Satan clone sold and having him do a 100 watt in that as well.
