Cantrell Does Beato

Just came to post this!

They get into gear talk pretty quick! @PLX is going to enjoy this!

That’s the first time I’ve ever heard Jerry actually bring up the Snorkler, even if not by name. Pretty cool he’s touring with the Fish right now and I’m even more stoked to hear the new record knowing Joe Baressi was geeking out on recreating old Cantrell tones!

So Excited Flirting GIF

I haven't watched it yet, but I will.

Let's see..., if I were interviewing JC, I'd ask him, probably even start with, "So how did it feel when you came home to find that Eddie Van Halen had gifted you with those amps and guitars?"

There's a good 10 minutes of EVH chat. Including the archetypal "tone is in the hands" talk.

HAH! When Beato was asking him about the recording of the studio session, and goes, "You had first put 'em out as a couple....., y'know..." and I said 'vignettes', right before Jerry choosing the same word!! I love it.

About to start watching, thankfully my wife is a big fan too. :grin

Don't know about y'all, but imo AiC was about the best thing that came out of the early to mid 90's. Definitely my favorite from the 'grunge' era, if you wanna call it that.

We had great vocals in my best band, so we did a bunch of AIC. And continued to play their songs, when we switched to an acoustic 3-piece. It worked really well in both, depending on which songs we chose.

So Ward calls me up one day and says, "Dude, you gotta check out Got Me Wrong! We gotta do it. It's ALL MAJOR CHORDS!"

So I grab my guitar, and I was dumbfounded how anyone could make that work in a song!

And the harmonies were always so much fun too! Such great music!

IIRR, "Got Me Wrong" changes keys for the chorus, too.
