This interview has triggered pure insanity as I’ve been motivated sunk hours trying to experiment with remixing some of my stuff. I’m at the take-it-back-to-basics stage now trying to mix everything with just an SSL channel strip, 1176, and a SSL bus compressor. Thanks Brendan.

I’m so desperately wanting to reach for my bougie plugins it hurts, but I’m starting to figure out the power of the SSL channel strip. My next goal in life is to figure out using the kick to trigger dynamic eq/compression using side chains or some shit.

The larger takeaway is… pay someone else to do this shit, it’s a pain in the ass.

I'm guessing it's a mono EMT140. I know Brendan was a known EMT250 user but I'm presuming this is something different. It could also have been something Terry Date printed in tracking.
