BluGuitar Amp X

The BluAmp is really cool - if only it wouldn‘t have those tiny, finicky mini-knobs on the side.
hated it damon wayans GIF

I kinda wish they had gone with the dual channel "Amp 2" concept Blug showed on paper in one of his livestreams. It was basically a dual channel Amp 1 with individual EQs. Would be probably out by now.
This would be awesome......in a cab-top shell. None of this floor shit.

The company is called "BluGuitar", the product is called "Amp1". There's nothing called "BluAmp".
timbuck insists on calling it that, but that's simply incorrect. Sorry, it bugs the shit out of me. :rofl

But yeah, the two current versions of the Amp1 are "Mercury" and "Iridium."
isnt it blu ampx? sorry

Thomas Blug îs the founder, and a really interesting and musical dude.
Amp1, which comes in different editions, and the pending AmpX are products.

I had the more modern model for a hot minute. Can’t remember the name. Sounded pretty good but the mids had a cocked wah thing going on which can be cool but not if you can’t dial any dial of it out or unhear it. Cool concept and I may have liked the first version that’s more classic sounding. I probably won’t be trying this.

It’s still not coming out
It will be at NAMM but will not be released until Blug is 100% happy , he has said he hopes this year

Latest from BluGuitar's livestream. Not a whole lot of new things learned.
  • They are looking for more high gain amps like a good 5150 to add to the Amp X as a proof of concept on top of what the Iridium models do. One guy in chat offered to bring a Wizard, Mezzabarba Eric Steckel and Gower modded Marshall 1959HW to BluGuitar to model. Hopefully that happens!
  • They seem to have some new cabinet related products in the pipeline that are meant to expand the lineup. No more info about these, but definitely interested considering how much I like the Nanocab.
  • Amp X has an internal impedance curve for silent use and to match the behavior of the poweramp in the line outs.
  • You can program multiple cycleable settings on the footswitches.
