I use the Valeton GP200LT for practice and learning songs at home. I have one or two NAM captures and my goto IRs loaded and that gets it there for me. The thing that keeps this a practice unit for me are the effects, they are just not that great. Live with my band I use the Boss GX-100 with the British or CrunchX and (again) my goto IRs loaded up. The effects and switching on the GX-100 are excellent and I get great tones on stage both direct to FOH and through a backline when I want it. I also have a Fractal FM3, which sounds great, that sits in my studio and doesn’t get used much.
So….if I were in the OPs positions I would probably go with the Boss GX-1 based on my experience, value, and Boss reputation.
