And precisely why I avoided making any recommendations since switching is a pretty personal thing.
Exactly. And you can personalize the Valeton. Thanks for proving my point.

Can't disagree with this.A used HX Stomp
I'd maybe look at the Zoom G6 also
Pretty hard to beat a used HX stomp
Fully agree. As much as I still like my Stomp, I tend to disagree. If you want the kinda modularity, it's fantastic, but in case you don't need that, IMO there's stuff as good.
If I was looking for a standalone thing, I'd at least look for a Stomp XL - at least for me, the little amount of switches on the vanilla Stomp is an issue I was constantly running into.

Actually the PodGo is a good alternative. It’s really underrated around here.As much as I still like my Stomp, I tend to disagree. If you want the kinda modularity, it's fantastic, but in case you don't need that, IMO there's stuff as good.

Hello!
I'm m17 playing guitar in a rock cover band and for our next gig I was planning to use an amp modeller for all my sounds so I don't need to mic off any real amps anymore. I'm looking for an allrounder rig for 2026 without having to spend too much. I was thinking about a Boss gx1, Boss gx10, a Nanocortex or even a Headrush Flex Prime.
Any suggestions? Really thankful for anyone who can help me out!
POD Go is alright but the HX Stomp definitely wins sound-wise since the oversampling update.Actually the PodGo is a good alternative. It’s really underrated around here.
I have both and found the oversampling only really mattered for recording.POD Go is alright but the HX Stomp definitely wins sound-wise since the oversampling update.
Actually, I prefer converted NAM captures to the Helix amp sims.
I could perfectly have my needs covered with a GP200. It´s just that it´s so funny to get dominated by GAS...
From there on, you get the cost exponentially increasing for a not-even-remotely-exponential tone quality improvement.

Btw, I was wrong. The Valeton GP-200 appears to not being able to load an imported NAM file (aka "snaptone" in Valeton lingo) and an IR simultaneously.
Wouldn't affect myself much, but it might be interesting to some.
I read a lot of these posts and it’s amazing how in these days with these young musicians their parents buy them stuff and they have no skin in the game not saying it’s bad I mean, do what you want but shit when I was that young I had a struggle to buy my own gear. Teach my self guitar trade one guitar for a better one take whatever gigs I could get it was a struggle. I guess kids are so lucky nowadays to have parents that buy them stuff expensive stuff and yeah to you 160 bucks is not expensive but to a kid that age that’s a lot of money.I usually use Neutral Archetyytheae days. But. I bought a Moier GE150 Plus for my daughter. For $160, it sounds beautiful! Please, take a look at it. There are many demos on YouTube.
The other day I saw two kids riding those motorcycles I call a motorcycles, but their bicycles that look like motorcycles right and they’re all electric
Are you sure? I mean, you definitely think it wasn't a Mooer bike?
