Going on 40 years. I have lots of areas I still want to improve, but my dedicated practice for the past 4 years has made me much better today than I've ever been. And every now and again I rip something that makes me go, F*ck Yeah!

I had that same music stand when I was a clarinet-playing teen. Had it's own soft case.
It wasn't all that resistant to outbursts of frustration though.

Started when I was 12. So that would be 46 yrs of misspent youth!

And I used to think how awful the 1970s were… crime, inflation, Vietnam war, pollution, no gasoline, disco, weak ass heroin and coke, blow dryers and feathered hair, large collars wide ties and lapels, velour and polyester, etc etc

Until 2021-23 hit lol

A little over 25 years. Picked it up in my early teens when my uncle showed me how to play the opening lick to Alive by PJ and I realized the guitar sitting around the house could actually make desirable noises. Played in some local bands from late teens to early twenties until I dropped it, got a haircut, and a job. lol

Unfortunately that lead to the “Acoustic” period of my life that ran well over a decade.

Decided to build an electric rig again 4-5 years ago, and that’s what lead me back down the path of the darkside.

I'll be 37 this year, been playing since diapers, not really sure exactly how long. I didn't realize it until my second wedding, we dug up all of our childhood photos we could find to make slideshows and most of mine had a guitar in my hand
