Anyone Ever Try Using Valvestate 65 As Power Amp With Your Modeler?

I'm going to be doing some recording with the band next weekend and was planning on using my FM9T direct, however I was considering possibly also using an amp to provide some amp in the room feel (I generally use a Quilter Tone Block 202 in "FRFR" mode in a Blockdock 12 cab for rehearsals and gigs, swapping out for a Fryette PS100 on occasion) and maybe mix the direct and amp outputs. I'm having some current painful issues with bursitis and have to minimize how much I need to carry, so considering not bringing my Quilter as there is a Marshall Valvestate 65 at the studio, I was thinking to run the output of the 9 into the fx return jack. Anyone ever try using a VS65 with an FM9T, or any modeler for that matter? I believe it has MOSFET power stage and it theoretically should sound fine run clean, just wondering if anyone has ever tried this scenario?

Never used that particular one…but for monitoring you should be fine if you have a globale eq on that output.

You'd want to route around the cab sim so you send an amp only signal to the Valvestate as it will have a guitar speaker in it.
