What is your favorite booster ?

View attachment 34254

I use two on my pedalboard; one at 6dB and for pickup enhancement and the second to drive my line stronger with a 9 dB boost to the rack and hit the two 12ax7 tubes in the Digitech 2112 SGS and the 12ax7 tubes in two VHT Valvulator 1's harder.
And it doesn't mess with the headroom in my signal , with those two Pickup Boosters.
either a fortin grind, or a maxon st9 pro plus depends on my mood that day lol

If memory serves, the demos I've seen of the Plumes had a weird thing in the upper midrange/highs. I believe it was in the decay. I wasn't a fan of that, but they seem quite popular, so maybe it was just the demos.
Plumes definitely is a bit weird. It’s very different from the traditional TS sound, even though the circuit is based on it. Also the tone stack is a Big Muff-type one where it basically blends between a low pass and high pass filter on either extreme. People either like it because they don’t like a TS, or they like it for what it is (not really a TS).

I don’t notice anything odd in the upper midrange. Perhaps because of where I set the voicing switch but I’ll give it another listen just in case. I prefer it over an SD-1 in to my JCM800 Studio head because it has more low end without being muddy..
