What Did You Do With Your Guitar(s) Today?

That was certainly my case. I knew a Bassist who could full on Geddy
and Chris Squire and did all the cool Prog stuff---including singing---
but he was older and better than I, and played with my friend.

Just Rush and what Lifeson did in that band so much. Have picked out
some riffs and chord progressions here and there (Working Man, Limelight,
Spirit of Radio
) but never made it an objective to work up any full songs,
because again, who can sing them? :idk

Or drum them? Or drum and sing them?
But what about Working Man?!?!?!?

Bummer! What happened to it?

Mine has hung like that for 3 years. I have it there because it is a
dude and I never play it.
After the first time - no damage - I had cushions under it until the 3rd or 4th time, when I got a base stand for it. It might just be that particular guitar, but Tele stocks are a bit narrow.

Yup. Beardless, Bell-Bottom Zakk > Bearded, Biker Chains Zakk.

Dude is a legend regardless. :chef

No Rest for the Wicked Zakk

Episode 8 Nbc GIF by America's Got Talent's Got Talent
Those first couple Ozzy albums he did were really good!

He was still shredding a lot but it was all musical and melodic.

Later, it's like he became a parody of himself or something: how much Zakk can Zakk Zakk? Too much...

Yesterday night I've been at band rehearsal bringing only my guitar and amp+cab and played the jubilee as a single channel amp.

I've left the helix floor, therefore all effects, snapshots, etc at home on purpose because next week we'll be playing 3 songs as guests, at a CD release party, and I won't bring my rig.

I wanted to practice the songs we'll probably paly using only volume control and pick up selector.

And, as usual, it's a fun and somehow liberating way of playing but not really my cup of tea.

To feel complete I need at least a modulation, a delay and a volume boost for leads.

Anyways.... everytime I play this way I ask myself if should go back to a simple pedalboard setup.

I'm working on another demo video (Boss GX-10 vs GX-100). But, it's really about the guitars :headbang

PRS bolt-on anything just can't be beat. the new SE satin CE 24 is the best guitar I've played in years, the stock pickups are razor blades and it resonates as much if not more than a 2001 us CE. maybe more, cause the wood is so light and no finish. it should be a $900 guitar

I brought my PRS CE24 to a real tech to get it looked at. Intonation and tuning stability have not been good. Picking it up tomorrow which should be fun. This guy does serious work for big time artists. If the work is good I’m going to have him do a refret on my nearly 30 year old Strat too.

Initiated a conversation with Tom Anderson about getting my Angel neck profile shaved from Even Taper to -.20" like my Drop Top, which is perfect.

Trading emails with Tom on a Sunday - that's customer service!

Funny that both pictures I posted (from the sellers) are both in front of a fireplace! :)

Received this one back from Tom today and got to play it for about an hour!

I've been trading emails back and forth with Tom off and on trying to figure out an issue with the guitar since shortly after I got it back.

I was experiencing a weird resonance on the G string and a strange lack of sustain from the 15th fret on up and only on that string.

Finally he told me to ship it back and got a shipping label for me.

It's been frustrating but I appreciate the great customer service.

Hopefully it won't be gone too long and will be back to me in working order.
