Been watching cartel movies and had an urge to play something like this.
Its like a mini clock tower just need to add clock on top!In my tireless efforts to have my name whispered in the same hushed reverence as that of the immortal @DrewJD82, I hereby present for your humble consideration, Rig Molehill:

Thought I'd post some progress on my Lindert redo.I haven't been playing an awful lot this week, so think I'm going to start on a guitar project I've been meaning to get to.
I have one of those old Lindert guitars with the thumb's up headstock lol (makes a Tyler look like a dream in comparison). Going to tweak the headstock shape and repaint it and the whole body in gold sparkle.
Change the pickguard to a black color or something else but still dark. Not sure about which pickups yet, but I do want to have a piezo under the bridge and be able to blend into the output, or have on by itself. Should be a fun project.
I've done mods on mine over the years and it is in pieces at the moment.
Here's what the guitar looks like in its original form -- this one is not mine though.

Yeah, there weren't too many good options I could see. The only other decent option would have been to move the B and E string tuner locations to the bottom like on an Ernie Ball, but I didn't want to go that far with it.So you've gotten the headstock shaped already - a lot better than the thumbs up thingy.

Got the body sections painted up, and with a few coats of clear lacquer so far. It's a sandwiched body 3 sections screwed together. Top and bottom are gold metallic and the center section is dark bronze metallic (not pictured). I'm not gonna go too crazy with getting the finish immaculate. I also reshaped the headstock best I could come up with in the moment. I kinda like it, it now looks like a single finger pointing instead of a thumbs up.
Still have to level/crown/dress frets. I installed the Jescar gold 58118, super jumbo size.
I have an awesome sheet of material to use for the pickguard. It's like a dark chocolate color with unique patterns, very organic vibe. Maybe I'll post that once I get it routed and figure out the pickups. Thinking about something different like gold foils but haven't committed yet.
Starting the new year off with a fun project!

Thanks!Killer! Great job on the headstock, FA! Trademark that shit!!
Is that some kind of Aztec Gold? I want that paint to finish the Bags I just picked up for my Harley.
I sanded before and will wet sand and buff (maybe) after the clear lacquer fully cures. You can see the old indentions from the screw bushings but no point in filling those since they will be covered again.Wow. Colour me shocked!
Is that pre or post sand? Did you sand in between coats?
