What Did You Do With Your Guitar(s) Today?

I really love the pelham blue, and it feels, plays, and sounds great, but I just don't reach for it as often as anything else. I got a little disheartened back in March I was planning on brining it to a gig but the P90s are just too damn noisy for the levels of gain I use, and they aren't wired as such that hum can be cancelled in the middle position. Volume discrepancy between the bridge and neck pups irks me a bit too (nature of the beast).

I was kind of planning on getting some BKPs in there, but a mccarty is on my short list, and that is the most impressive top I've seen on an S2. Guy wants to meet up, just waiting to hear back on a time
Pelham Blue is one of my favorite finishes. But the thin-ish yet wide necks of a number of SGs I've played plus the tuneomatic bridges I either need to be all in on or not in on at all plus neckdvie potential just make them a tough guitar for me to get behind. Even though a good one is pretty magical.

I will say, the balance on this guy is perfect. No neck dive whatsoever

While visually appealing the SG does have a somewhat generic look compared to the other guitar.
They don't seem to offer a lot of finish options for SGs. You either look like Angus (who is awesome but the color of which I hate), Iommi black (which is a bazillion times better) or something like this classy blue. My fave is white :chef Then you have the customs which have weird quilted grossness that for me doesn't work on an SG at all.

Iommi black ? 😂😂😂

I've seen some flamed/quilted SGs that I really liked, but agree, many of them end up looking kind of weird with that sort of aesthetic

Last night I upgraded my Super-Vee BladeRunner tremolo with their new Bar Grabber Tensioner Upgrade Kit to remove the slightly more than minimal "slop" from the tremolo arm.

Works perfectly. No more slop regardless of how tight (or loose) the arm is screwed in.

Spent the day at my wife's class with the kids. Halloween parade at her school. The Cal State Berkeley marching band came and led the kids around, I got yelled at by my wife's new boss who had no idea who I was.

In my wife's classroom, she has a Behringer clone of a Fender Passport PA and unbeknownst to me effect selection 99 is a distortion preamp that took this old bass to the next level.

There's an old piano here too so some jamming with the boy, trying to get him to play in any key rather than C :poop:

That's what you did with your guitars today? Interesting, should give that a testrun, too.
I went through pedals I'm planning on letting go. VFE The Scream, Two Notes Cab M (I have two), JHS Double Barrel, Walrus Warhorn Ages, Friedman Golden Pearl (possibly the Buxom Boost as well), MXR Custom Badass Modified Overdrive, possibly a Ceriatone Centura, Jackson Audio Asabi (I liked it once I dialed it in, but the Friedman IR-X makes it irrelevant to me), and maybe another pedal or two I've forgotten. I'll probably take them to GC this weekend.

Welp, none of my devices will fully process or load the Guitar Center checkout, so I'll be skipping them as a means of getting the cabs. My tablet and phone will get to the point of submitting, but will time out and not process. My old laptop will not even load the form to checkout. C'est la vie.

I have a work laptop (well, not my main work laptop really; don't ask) that I may try tomorrow as one last attempt. I don't like to use it for personal stuff, though.

Nothing the last few days. Maybe after dinner I'll crank it up. (through my headphones)
