I highly recommend checking out out Diamond Eyes when you're in the mood - it's up there with White Pony for me.

I really really really REALLY did not like the self title album. I fell out with them after that for some time.

Deftones were very influential and important to me growing up, being a fan from getting to know them with Adrenaline through the release of White Pony. Don’t really know why, but I stopped listening to them and haven’t really bonded with anything from them after White Pony.

I guess I haven’t given the «newer» stuff a fair chance though. But I will, starting with the new one.

Ensiferum and COB share a lot of influences and sound alike in ways, but they both started at around the same time, and I would not say that one copied the other

Ahh yes. Saw them recently while promoting this album. Great new songs and of course played a lot of the oldies but goodies.

On paper, and by all friend accounts I should be really into clutch. I just can’t get into anything from the studio I’ve listened to to date. Seems like a band I should probably see live to “get it” though
