This is my first post so be gentle. I feel I must tell you something about myself first. I am in home confinement overseen by the federal government. I cannot leave my home except for work. So I'm stuck inside all day. To help relieve the cabin fever I decided to get a new guitar. It's been in the house now for about 8 hours from outside in the cold. Surely it's okay to open it now right?

Well it came box in a very sturdy square box. Inside was packing paper with the guitar box inside. Inside the guitar box is the gig bag with the guitar in it. So it seems pretty protected. The guitar was listed as used but mint on Amazon. I can't find any visual flaws with it. It does look like the previous owner must have at least stuck different strings on it. I don't think the factory leaves them like this.

Pros:
Neck is straight. It plays very nice with nice low action. There is a very very slight fret buzz on the low e and a string. I haven't messed with the action at all yet so I can probably take care of that.

The fret ends are not rounded like a high-end guitar would be but they are not Sharp. Slide my fingers up and down the edge of the fretboard and I cannot feel the frets.

The first frets seem standard orientation while the lower frets start to fan which is not hard to get used to.

Selector switch works great. Great tonal difference between the bridge and neck pickup.

It's fairly light. Most of my other guitars are much heavier. That could be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it.

Cons:
The tuning machines are garbage. I wasn't expecting a lot but I've had inexpensive guitars before with good tuners and these suck. It's okay cuz I really did want locking tuners on it anyway so this gives me a good reason to do it. (Any suggestions for some good ones that don't break the bank?)

The tone knob spun freely because the locking nut was not tight. It was simple to fix but I am surprised that it was overlooked.

Of course it has the small tone and volume pots. Usually not the best but I wasn't expecting much at this price point.

So overall I would say my biggest disappointment about it are the tuners. I honestly didn't think they made tuners this bad anymore.
