What’s the best chorus?

Out of these three, anyway. As someone who owns the Julia, I’m kinda falling out of love with it, tbh. I’m thinking chorus = simpler, the better.

I kind of want to check out the EarthQuaker Aurelius that came out recently. Currently rocking my old DOD FX65 Stereo Chorus which I dig but have nothing else to compare it to. I do like it better than the choruses in the HX stuff.

I had an old FX60 long ago. Miss that little bugger.

I just add modulation on my delays and I'm happy. I don't really use chorus as a stand-alone effect.

Tough call between the DC and the CE-2. They’re both so good and so different.

If I had to choose just one it would probably be the CE-2

It doesn’t hurt that the demo person picked the who’s who of awesome chorus riffs. But yeah, that sounds awesome for sure!

As much as I love the DC-2 in stereo I'd grab a CE style chorus first in a mono setting.

I've really come around on using Flanger pedals for traditional chorus sounds. The BOSS BF-2 and PastFx Elastic Mattress being 2 faves at the moment.

Man, chorus was the first effect that inspired me to want to play my guitar for longer periods of time! And it was a CE-2.

So I say, whatever one does that for you, and is easy to use.

I‘m usually a simpler-is-better kinda guy, too. But most Chorus and other modulation pedals are lacking a mix / FX level knob, which is really crucial IMHO.

“Dontboreus” mode is bypass, but with flashy, sparkly indicator lights on, “boreus” mode is engaged.

To OP, the best of those three is the one that is bypassed.

Don't think you can go wrong with the CE-2w?
Can't say I use chorus much these days, sometimes very subtle in a recording for a doubling effect.
I have a JHS Artificial Blonde which is more of a vibrato, but in stereo it has a chorusy vibe to it.
