Does anyone, mostly in the US, have any experience with West amps.
Definitely used on this record anyway.
I know a bit about them, and mostly everything I need to know about their guts and design, along with the history.
They are essentially Dynakit style Hi-Fi amps. In a head. Very similar to the early Sunn amps, but slightly different.
These were the amps that Grand Funk Railroad used and endorsed for years. LOUD!!!
Cool history, which is typical of the era of Music Equipment.
I'm looking for anyone with direct experience. Did you demo, own or hear in person, a West amp...which included the Fillmore, Grande, and Avalon.

I plan on building a clone, with modern features and utilities, in the future.
I just want to hear if anyone has any experience with these amazing, forgotten, and local to me, amps.
