I started a second playthrough to do the early game again and see if I can improve with the diagonal pogo.

I just got to the point where you pogo off of those red fruit things and at first it destroyed me lol, now it’s kinda fun but I am sitting in one spot just practicing over, and over

Define “early on”, because I feel like I’ve been playing this fucking game for 40 years or thereabouts and it’s scarcely thrown me a bone. I just got a silk spool upgrade that’s made the game precisely 0.0000% more manageable.

Really, it’s a splendid game apart from the fact that it’s not any fun at all.

Like the first few hours lol. Can't imagine trying the fruity pogos without it

I can't be the only one who thought the upgrade would double the spool I was so disappointed

I need to find this upgrade, I’ve gotten decent at the directional pogo but it’s literally harder that bosses lmao

It’s so characteristic of this game. You get a second half of an item, and instead of seeing a completed item, your inventory shows zero halves of that item. And instead of being twice as powerful, your almost not more powerful at all.

Yay.
