Video Games

I guess I'm going to have to revisit Belatro then. I've bounced off it twice already, but I have (more than) a few hours on an airplane next week. It would be nice to have something to distract.

I successfully completed a mission from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. shadow of Chernobyl some time back with a lot of effort. Not a big fan of video games anyway. Friend used to have a twitch channel years ago, I had played it on her computer.

Rockstar have said the trailer for GTA6 was captured on a base PS5!
That’s impressive! But honestly it’s taken soooooooo long for devs to fully utilize both PS5 and XBox X capabilities. I have no understanding about it but i guess it’s just a lot of work, probably it is.
Even Nvidia said theres plenty of room for improvement for Xbox X.

Though the majority of that footage is from cutscenes. Rendered at runtime by a PS5, which is very impressive, but with painstakingly curated camera positions, light sources, etc.

I don’t like that particular game genre, but…. This trailer makes me want to :rofl

The way he sang “they bought two kittys… at the.. pouuund” made me lmao :rofl

Check out this in-game song on this piece of gameplay. Hilarious.

Trying to play The Blue Prince but it's giving me terrible motion sickness. I've never had motion sickness in my life so I misattributed it last week to feeling quest because I had too much to drink the night before but I've got it again this week.

I checked online and others are getting it too. People who've never got it from any other game.

Hopefully they do an update to fix it. It was getting really intriguing.

That’s interesting, I get motion sick super easy (makes it tough for me to use my PSVR2 as much as I’d like) but didn’t get nauseous with this one, but it does have the weird smooth sliding effect when moving through the rooms. Hopefully they will patch it. Several of the VR games have a mode where it jumps to the new angles to avoid that queasy feeling, so maybe they can implement something like that.

I’ve put more time into the game and it’s been fun but a slow burn for sure. Best advice is to keep looking for new rooms.

Finished 4 levels. Each took about an hour. Feel like it's only starting to pick up now after easing you in in the first couple of levels while it explains all the new mechanics.

I'm playing on the hardest difficulty. The game can be bullet hell. The game loop now has parries and melees you can use to open enemies up.

It's very rewarding to towards a super-aggessive playstyle.

Enjoying a bunch so far.

I haven't played any of the "modern" Dooms at all. I should probably look for a copy of 2016, it's probably pretty cheap to find these days.
The last shooter I played was Destiny 2. I've always loved the feel of Destiny (and Halo) but the rest of the stuff around the core gameplay of Destiny bums me out.

I finally discovered Balatro and after a little stumbling learning the game mechanics, I am hooked.

Equally enjoyable, entertaining, aggravating, addictive, and satisfying, it is now my goto time waster.
No game has suckered me in like Balatro in the last 5 years or so. Unbvelieveable. Didn't help, that I had it on my PC and my phone, so I could be addicted anywhere.

Bought the Oblivion Remastered. Oblivion was MY game back in the 2000s. The perfect storm: A good RPG and me being a teenager with plenty of time and an affinity for fantasy shit.

Damn, it did not age well...

I regret buying it.
