I didn't say it sounded better or worst, just that the AFmkII has more stuff in it for the same form factor and price.

As you know the MkII sounds great, its amps sound almost identical to the new models in the Tonocracy.

Im pretty sure I’ll buy one of these…but I was on the Sweetwater site a few minutes ago to place a preorder and instead I ordered the Friedman IR-X.
Headphones, midi, ir loading, all access to dedicated controls, Friedman, etc .it just felt like the right thing to do.

Yeah I guess it comes down to if you want a more traditional super lead tone or a modern take on with the Friedman (as mentioned in this thread) as well

I've only heard good things about the IRX outside our boy @ejecta

I do think the hype has died down a touch though

That sounds fantastic. I’m going to try one… a big reason is my amps loaded down into the UA Ox Stomp has upped my direct tones to a point where I’m really liking it. Kind of a first for me to be this happy playing direct.
