i think there are some bundle deals available where you can buy a few for a bigger discount.

I can’t really get too excited over these boomer amps so I think I’ll hold out and then upgrade my Signature bundle when the Recto and 5150 get ported.

Curious to try Lion but not too arsed about more Fender or Vox for now.

$50 seems about right per plugin, I wonder if Black Friday/Christmas will do it. UA has been totally scattergun with prices since going native.

The Signature Edition Bundle looks like the way to go.

Yeah, and also the Custom 2 and Custom 3 bundles if you only want the amp sims.

You can also buy through 3rd party resellers like Plugin Boutique/Audiodeluxe/PluginFox who usually sell a bit lower (or with a more favourable currency). The only benefit of buying through UA’s store is upgrades, to use existing vouchers, or in order to receive a 25$ thank you voucher.

BUT DO THEY HAVE A HEADPHONE JACK!?

Yeah I'm sure they can be had for $50 soon. All three for $249 now.
I have Spark, so just finished playing around with Lion for a while now, sounds pretty damn good!

I’ve had about an hour with Lion and it feels like they’ve modelled some good mojo there. It’s doing the thing where there’s a bunch of nuances that feel more amp like and less sim like than 95% of the competition. It’s not the ultimate amp sound for me but if you said it was some new fancy modelling tech I’d believe it, just feels top tier.

Not sure if the recto and evh ones have as much love into it but if they do then they’ll be great

Boomer amps?!? Really? :ROFLMAO: That makes 90% of the most popular guitars on the market today boomer guitars as well...

That being said, these plugins don't really get me hot and bothered either. Especially at that price. I wouldn't pay more than 50$/50€ a piece if I was looking for that signature UA sound.

Then again, I've always found UA to be massively overpriced in everything they do. Like the Gibson of the effects industry.

Boomer amps?!? Really?
The amps these are modelled on were released how long ago? It’s not a dig, it’s literally what they are.

UA may be overpriced, but on the whole they’ve been the pacesetters for analog modelling plugins for a long time now. Since releasing native plugins their prices have dropped significantly. The lost price is expensive but absolutely no one is paying those because there is sales on permanently. The price is generally going to be $29-39 for most plugins unless you buy them in a bundle where you can be paying about $6 per plugin

Lately, what I really want is a nice piece of hardware I can just rely on to record guitar ideas with. I'm off plugins a bit, so when I come back around I'm sure these will be on offer!!

I just realized these plugins dont have any effects, which I suppose is true to the pedals, but it would have been cool to have had a couple integrated effects so you aren’t forced to stack other plugs. I wish they would have at least included a vanilla verb/delay.

Doesn’t the Vox and Fender have tremolo? and I think all 3 have a reverb.

Also, they don’t offer a standalone, so you’ll be using them in a DAW already. That basically offers you everything you’d ever need, IMO it’s preferable than having some random ass constricted freebie bundled in.

That's pricey!
Could have at least included standalone for that price (well yes plugin host works as well I suppose).

There’s room reverb which is pretty high quality but it’s still a heavy handed room verb

And yeah not even a tuner. At one point I had a tuner, and tubescreamer plugin before the Lion plugin, and then I was loading an IR, EQ and Delay after…. It really exposed how limited it was. It’s inevitable they’ll do a modeller and I’m sure it’ll be amazing…. Until then the public will probably be sold every component one by one before we can buy it all again inside of a single unit

I’ve only used the Lion so far and I think it’s high quality stuff but there’s definitely some stuff lacking compared to the competition (especially with the asking price)
