TwoNotes GENOME!!!

I've got a registered Torpedo CAB M+ but for some reason, Genome doesn't show up in my license when I log into my Two Notes account.

I hope they'll fix that for anyone who might encounter the same problem, since the e-mail says any "registered Two notes Hardware user" will receive Genome for free.

And stuff like that might very well be actionable/suable, if I understand correctly.

Not meaning to sound like a spoiled brat here, but if something is advertised as "free", it better be.

EDIT: I downloaded and installed it anyway, but upon login, it doesn't seem to understand that I already have a Torpedo CAB M+ registered. Bummer...
Hi @dronerstone,

Sorry to hear you're having problems here! If I could ask you to submit a ticket to our Helpdesk, one of the team can look in to this for you - https://helpdesk.two-notes.com/portal/en/home

Hi @laxu,

Thanks so much for your post! We are working hard on getting this resolved as soon as possible. We would suggest checking periodically for updates!
Thanks for the heads up.

I think one improvement you could make is that you don't need a separate account for your support system. I hate having to register extra accounts for that when I could just use my Two Notes account.

Also I don't know if you have noticed it, but the links to Genome offline application instructions in the https://www.two-notes.com/offline don't point at the right pages.

https://helpdesk.two-notes.com/port...ll-and-activate-genome-on-an-offline-computer just goes to the login for support.
The correct page is https://helpdesk.two-notes.com/port...ivate-genome-on-an-offline-computer-10-1-2024

I've loaded the Genome Trial.

I've got it gained staged properly with my RME UCX Hi-Z Input ...... -BUT- ..... Is it just me or is the Vox / Foxy *massively* under-gained ?

Even with the Gain and MV on full ... with a 6.5k Bridge Humbucker its barley getting low level edge-of-breakup / crunch ?

I used to run a real Vox AC30CC and then a real a Vox AC30HW and they each had 2x to 3x the gain on tap that this "model" has (?)

Maybe Im doing something *really* wrong but this just "isnt right" (?)

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your post! This is simply our voicing of the preamp however you can certainly add a volume boost ahead of the amp using the V1 Pedal to push the gain of the amp a little more!

Hi @Whizzinby,

Thanks so much for your post! Both! We will add routine updates of STUDIO FX, PEDALS and Amps which will be free and there is also an extensive series of premium packs in development!

Thanks for the reply Amy. Seems fair, no different than plug-in makers offering new plugs. I think as long as the core package is also improving at the same pace as the paid add-on releases, it won’t be too offensive to users. :beer

Hi @eggpl@nt,

Thanks so much for the feedback - we will certainly relay this to our development team for consideration!

Are there plans for a marketplace or Central tone repository for the captures? Not that I don't want to use your modeling, but I think the NAM aspect is one of the bigger selling points...

you can visit tonehunt.org for NAM captures and more!
Welcome @prodz 👋

I'm guessing that you're Pablo, the software dev behind ToneHunt? (I checked the GitHub repo).

If that's the case then... NICE!!!

I like the "trending" function. Very useful in a world filled with so many thousands of captures.

That's me! Thanks!

You're all more than welcome to check us out and enjoy all those NAM captures. Pretty cool stuff.

I love that you guys included NAM and allowed for IR loading. Within 5 minutes I found a sound perfect for what I do:

Nice job with this and thank you for the gifted license for those already in your ecosystem, completely unexpected.

I apparently am eligible for a free license with my current two notes account. I'm not much for guitar plugins. I prefer hardware, but I'll give this a try. Looks well done.

I have to boost my Input by almost 6db to get “accurate“ results, similar levels to Overloud THU. But again I‘m just guessing. Would be great to have the actual dBu input level.

Fixed it. I set my Hi-Z RME Input to max. out up to 0db but with no clipping ... and then adjusted the Genome Input so for each Amp it came in at around -12db ... seems to be responding perfectly now.

Only weird thing is that whilst I am able to leave my RME Hi-Z settings the same for all the 8 x Guitar amps .... each Genome Amp needs a totally different Genome Input setting to get it to sit around the -12db sweet spot ...... -and- ..... each Genome Amp needs a totally different Output setting to get output levels to a comparable point ......... no biggie but just noting it for others.

Calling all Pedal Guru's

Just been messing with the Genome Amps ... sounding bloody brilliant actually .... and stumbled across the following - new to me - Drive pedal that is just perfect for gently boosting gained up Amps without adversely "coloring" them much.

Any ideas what actual real world pedal it is "most likely" based on (?)
