TwoNotes GENOME!!!

Awesome! Yes, I was at the capture session for this and Romesh really spent a lot of time making sure the resultant DynIRs were perfect - we actually have a nice making of video here if you wanted to check it out:

I used to chat to him on and off when I was a wee bairn. Bloody small world!

So where's the parts list and build details and how the front controls are configured etc..... ?

There’s an entire YouTube video series on their channel about this thing.

It’s basically an audio interface, custom MIDI controller, and mini PC in a box with a couple of fans.

Well! We have a full series of videos here:

In these we detail how everything was routed together and the soldering that would be required. However, if you have any specific questions, let me know and I will certainly source the info for you!

Do I have to pay for Genome, if I've already bought a bunch of DynIR cabs? I'm not seeing another way to use the DynIR cabs I've got, since WoS seems to be no more.

No idea how it worked, but I kinda got Genome as a WoS replacement, it simply appeared in my account - or maybe I could just authorize it? Don't exactly remember anymore, but it's been when I wanted to install WoS on the new MBA and it wasn't available anymore.

If you do go down the route of paying for Genome, it's really worth grabbing the full suite version - I've loved using it and the new updates and components lately have been really awesome.

Edit: I think the basic version of Genome is free if you register any Two notes hardware.
I can't confirm if it's free otherwise.

Yeah I can’t figure this out. Despite owning over a dozen cabs, I can’t seem to activate Genome enough to even use them. I guess I’ll have to buy it. Which isn’t a big deal, because it’s like $60.

If you purchased those way back, there may have been an email from them ages ago that gave you a Genome license for free.
Worth a look.

If you do buy it, eventually you might enjoy the upgrade to the Suite version, they often have sales and the 'upgrade from basic' is usually only 99 and it gives you all the main extra component/add-ons. It's a great value.

I didn't get any mail, I could just authorize Genome.

If I search my inbox, there's an email from them dating around January 2024, explaining I have a complimentary Genome license.
I can't confirm if this was the case for people who only had DynIRs with WOS, but definitely if you had registered any hardware.

Then a few months ago I noticed the Genome Suite had a sale and saw that the upgrade was a steal, so I'm pretty happy with it.

I only had WOS cabs and got the same email around that time.
I’d suggest to just go look in the account on their site and see what licenses are there.

Hey Guys, Ross from Two notes here - apologies for the late reply, it was a national holiday in the UK yesterday and I took a long weekend!

So, if you were a WoS customer prior to January 2024 or a Two notes hardware user, you are entitled to a complementary copy of GENOME — check the article here for more info: https://www.two-notes.com/en/grab-your-complimentary-copy-of-genome-today/

If you have any other questions, hit me up! :)
