TwoNotes GENOME!!!

The mic selections are different. World Tour are live/stage oriented and Studio are studio/recording oriented.
Right on the money there! It's a great series of collections from Mesa and very versatile indeed. One thing that's worth trying is running a WTE and SLE cab on parallel lanes in GENOME - it gives you the flexibility of an increased mic collection and significantly greater tonal possibilities! If anyone has any questions concerning this, let me know!

Hey Ross !

Bit of a more "details" questions.

*Excluding the Codex NAM and other Capture Playback Block*

Re:- the TSM Amps specifically -and- all the other Blocks / EFX in Genome:-

(1) do they have Individual Block-Level / Individual EFX-Level oversampling applied within each Block / EFX ie: the TSM Amp Block itself -and- the other Genome Blocks, Amps, Drives EFX etc... (?)

-or-

(2) is all the oversampling for all the Genome Blocks / EFX only applied via the OFF / HIGH / HIGH+ / ULTRA / MAX "Global Oversampling Setting" at the end of the Block Chain ?

-or-

(3) is it some combination of the two ?

Thx,
Ben

Hey Ben, Now that is a question well above my station!

Let me send that to our team now and I will get back to you ASAP!

Thanks for bearing with me, so I has a chat with the team and it is 2 with the exception of TSM-Ai, CODEX and the Pitch-centric FX (all of which feature their own quality modes and oversampling). For reference, within GENOME we upsample at the input and down sample at the output. Let me know if this helps!

@Ross Davies good day. Congrats on the new Captor X+. But me, being a long time Captor X user I have been asking for many years for an interface update. Having a "new" unit that has this and you guys not updating the old one, makes me very sad.

Much appreciated Ross and team ! :)

Same. I like my Captor X and would really enjoy an updated UI with the "Genome aesthetics" for the iOS app that it seems the new Captor X+ has.

Hi @Antek and @nicolasrivera, Thanks for getting in touch. Sadly at this time the aesthetic of the new Torpedo Remote interface is tied to the Captor X + - moreover, the features intrduced with this variant will remain exclusive for Captor X + indefinitely. Captor X is feature-complete by design and remains fully supported on its established firmware. Captor X + is built on a new firmware platform that required a full architectural firmware overhaul, resulting in an entirely different product. Given the scope of these changes, this firmware platform cannot be delivered to Captor X users as a practical update.

Nicely put, translation= No soup for you!

Hey Ross !

Hope all is well. Just a suggestion for Genome.

A Multi-Band Compressor would be ideal ... brilliant for tightening up flubby lows and for smoothing out "crispy highs .... whilst leaving the core guitar mid-range signal in-tact / unaffected.

F.w.i.w its a staple in all the big players ... Axe, Stadium / Helix, L6, QC .. and even the "el-cheapo" Nux, Hotone, Soniccake etc.... stuff

I could be wrong but I cant see a way of doing this in the current 1.14 Genome Suite (?)

All the best, and thanks for all your ongoing support !
Ben

I'm amazed at the efficiancy of this SW. I used 3 iterations of CODEX, one each for a compressor(yes it does what I need, sustain), a drive pedal, and an amp. Adding TwoNote cabs, a gate, and delay, I was < 20% CPU.

Thanks for reaching out and I hear you loud and clear - in fact, I have asked for this myself along with quite a few other team members at TNHQ! I dont have a perfect workaround at this time, although I do prefer to use multi-band compression and limiting at the end of my GENOME signal chain - As such, I use the Sonnox Oxford Dynamic EQ post GENOME for this purpose in my DAW. With that said, I have passed on your request to the team and be rest assured, we have some killer plans for GENOME this year - the team have seriously outdone themselves! :)

That is amazing to hear! Our team have worked well to help optimise GENOME so it is great to hear you are seeing the benefits of this! :)

Hardware Ross we need hardware 😀

Just thinking out loud.
Would it be possible to include a software solution of a re amp box ?

Use one of outputs or your interface with the correct output and it should work ??

Thanks for reaching out! It's an interesting concept for sure, however I believe it is also dependant on a number of hardware factors of the interface at hand. As such, we would always lean on a hardware solution and there are quite a lot of cost-effective re-amp solutions out there that will do the job no issues. Nonetheless, I have sent this to our development team for thought / investigation now.

Great.
Would be interesting seeing no other company seems to think about it. It would be a great addition or maybe in the future on a capture X

They haven't? Isn't that literally what Tonex is?
With Amplitude Software Integration you have a suite.
And the shortlived Tonocracy did it for sure.

With reamping i mean a DI track out of the DAW into a pre amp. Not into a modeller plugin.

I have a nux that has a reamp option but it just means routing it thorough the software amps as far as I can see. Not into a real pre amp
