TwoNotes GENOME!!!

Ross - Just to be clear - when you export a BANK - all of the presets and settings in that preset bank are saved in the export? What about exporting and saving specific presets for effects, cabinets and amps?
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, a Bank will export all of the presets in the Bank and Component settings used within the presets. In terms of exporting Component Level Presets, this can be done via the export option accessed via the ellipsis menu...

Hi Ross

Just a quick Wah / EV Pedal Question.

I have a stock Mission EV which is Spring loaded to always revert to the fully heel-down position.

Using the Vox 47 Wah Block, is it possible (?) / is there a setting (?) whereby I can have the Wah Block OFF by default but then auto-engage-ON when the EV Pedal is pressed toward the Toe Position ?

Thanks.
Ben
Thanks for reaching out - nice use case!

You cant have the pedal default to the Heel position however you can set the Heel position to off using the control just under the position parameter...

I’m still loving the Molly amp in Genome, but I do wish the amp’s controls were bigger. The window has a lot of space used up by the graphics for the amp head, but much of it is just for show - while the actual controls are really small and shoved to the bottom.
It’s a complex amp, but it’s all jammed in pretty tight.

In addition, the three selectable amp channels are on a three-way switch that cycles through each one. Ideally I’d like this to be three separate buttons instead, as I basically only go between channel two and three.

I don’t want to be annoying, but I just wanted to share some feedback. Honestly wouldn’t really change anything else! Thanks again for making such a cool piece of software. 🙏

From our perspective, any feedback is good to have! Consider this sent over to our team now! Thanks for weighing in!

Big fan of Genome, but do have a question
I've updated to suite to get most of the new DynIRs and effects.
Just got an email about a new DynIR pack with Lewitt mics, of course great to see.
No mention of Fairlight, so I guessed its included in the suite.
However whatever I try they don't appear ?

Anything I'm doing wrong ?

Correct.
My understanding was that with the suite everything would be included except a small part via the special fairlight label.

Not a big deal, I'm using the BHG cabs but it's always great to experiment and part why the suite is there :)

Thanks for reaching out. These cabinets are not included in GENOME Suite - the 50 DynIRs included in GENOME Suite are the only ones included in this pack; any other DynIRs can be purchased separately either as discounted collections or as individual DynIRs. Let me know if this helps to clarify things.

Ok. So the free updates are "only" pedals and amps under the two notes label ?

Somehow i expected also the two notes dyn ir cabs were included.

Now I know why they didn't updated ;)

Yes indeed. The reason is actually quite simple - the vast majority of cabinets released via our store are actually from Capture Masters who are independent to Two notes - these are studios and tone aficionados who will actively capture cabinets and resell them via our platform — essentially a marketplace. If you have any questions concerning this, let me know! :)

Hi Ross !

A technical question re: the Genome Oversampling application. As we all know, NAM Captures have pretty poor aliasing. So ....

Question

If I run a NAM Capture in Codex and am playing it live in Real Time -and- have the Oversampling engaged to say High or High+

(a) => does the High or High+ Oversampling "de-alias" [to the extent of the Oversampling] the NAM Capture in Codex ?

or

(b) => as the aliasing is "baked in" to the NAM Capture, the High or High+ Oversampling has no impact or any kind on the NAM Capture's aliasing in real-time live playing?

I *suspect* the answer is (a) but would be more than happy if it were actually (b) (?)

Thanks again and all the best.
Ben

Thanks for getting back to me. Just checking in with the team now and will report back on this asap!

Thanks for bearing with me! I was pretty sure the answer was B but wanted to get a technical validation on this.

As it turns out, I was correct as the aliasing is baked in the NAM captures; as such, the Oversampling settings will not have any impact on the inherent aliasing you can hear. However, if this is something you're particularly sensitive to, try our TSM-Ai models and set them to high quality mode via the ellipses menu in the component GUI - our capture process and virtual amp design caters for this entirely and if there are any amp models you feel we need to capture, let me know and I will feed this back to the team! :)
