TwoNotes GENOME!!!

That's all well and cool, but I'm not that interested in pedals. Several amps have been added and pay walled. I'd trade 20 of those pedals for a few of those amps
Thanks for the feedback — sadly, I cant reveal too much but on the stock amp front, I am certain you wont be disappointed! :)

Absolutely yes! And be sure to crank it :beer

Right now, I’m playing the CaliBro59 (Bassman) the most. I previously used a Bassman NAM profile from Tone3k, but the added flexibility is welcome.
Awesome! Well I will have to get cracking on this one then — rest assured, it is always cranked and Reload II is coming in very useful for home use! :)

Hey Ross. We're never going to see Genome for AUV3 / iPad are we ? :)
Thanks for getting in touch — it is not something that's on our agenda at the moment sadly — we have discussed it but our resource is limited and we want to focus on making the desktop variant as feature packed as possible before considering other platforms. With that said, I am always collating feedback from our user base and this is one request that is most certainly with our team! :)

Hey Ross !

As always, hope all is well :) Not at my PC at the moment but am thinking of trying [again] to set up a Laptop for live audio - looking at a Macbook Air M1 or good PC Laptop ..... as such, can I please ask:-

1 => is Genome fully Apple Silicone M-Series Native ?
2=> does Codex load and run NAM Captures fully 1:1 Native with zero conversion or changes ?
3=> when running a PC or MAC, is the overall Genome CPU usage roughly the same ? or is it currently more optimized for one or the other ?
4=> as of 1.11, is Genome now quite "lean and [relatively] light" ? or is it still a bit "cpu - hogg'y" ?

Thanks again,
Ben

1. Yes
2. Yes, Codex uses a fork of NAM core and natively loads NAM models, but Codex does have various features and filters that are unique (that can be bypassed).

Thanks for reaching out! Yes GENOME is fully Apple Silicone Native.

@Dom Mcsweeney's answer for question 2 is right on the money! CODEX can also run Proteus and AIDA-X captures as well!

There is no discrepancy between the Mac or PC variants CPU wise as we optimise it for both platforms.

In terms of holistic CPU usage, we have certainly kept optimising as much as we can so compared to the launch variant there have been a number of performance and stability enhancements. In addition, the oversampling function can be used to reduce CPU load further depending on your specific setup / needs.

If you have any other questions, let me know!

Many thanks Ross :)

If I just want to run a NAM Capture just by itself in Codex and do all my processing to it with Genome Blocks Before and After the Codex Block, , would I be right in thinking (?) that Turning OFF the Codex Graphic EQ Module, and the Codex ToneStack Module and the Codex Enhancer Module will reduce the Total CPU Load used by the Codex Module ?

Thanks again.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes this will certainly reduce some CPU load - in addition, you might want to use the Neutral preset as outlined here: https://helpdesk.two-notes.com/port...ing-neutral-settings-for-1-1-audio-processing. As another CPU saving measure, you could also consider the Stereo Nature of the CODEX block (you can select the Stereo Processing via the Stereo Icon next to the CODEX logo); here mono processing will help reduce the CPU load but this will entirely depend on whether you feed CODEX with a Stereo Signal — if so, when selecting mono, you will loose any Stereo processing enacted before CODEX. Let me know if this helps!

Is GENOME's TSM Power Amp the same as what's on the Opus?

I've had a GENOME license from my Cab M+ but never tried it, and I'm planning to give it a try this weekend to mess around with NAM, but I'm curious to try the TSM Power Amp too and see how it compares to the Cab M+'s power amp sim.
